I have only been @ the highlander for drinks; so I can’t comment on the food.
About the drinks: I personally really like their whiskey menus. They have 12 menus of «linked» whiskeys which are awesome. They are the «regular» whiskeys, not the specials bottlings. This doesn’t hurt however, because you get to taste the whiskeys you didn’t dare to buy yourself.
My favorite is the single cask menu. 4 strong, single malt whiskeys: served as it should be. The right glass, the right amount of whiskey and a little bit of water (including pipet).
I recommend this place to everyone willing to drink a whiskey (or even beer).
