Scheld’apen

Antwerp has lots of clubs, travelling party concepts and venues. Still, there is nothing quite like Scheld’apen. It is a semi-​legalized squat and THE location for outrageous parties and concerts, experimental installations and performances and other underground/​alternative events.
Scheld’apen even has a garden with a tree house and fire barrels. Furthermore, the place serves drinks and good no-​nonsense food at cheap prices. Caution: if you want glitz and glam, this is really not the place for you to go.
Make sure to check the program before going there, because it’s out of the city center.
Still, if it all becomes a little bit too weird when you’re there, just go to the neighbors: the huge Petrol Club.
