When many think of Antwerp, they think of diamonds and fashion. However Antwerp is not only the city of diamonds, it’s also a paradise for chocolate lovers with an uncountable numbers of chocolate shops to choose from.
Neuhaus, founded in Belgium in 1857, belongs to one of the most well-​known Belgian chocolatier around the world. Neuhaus brings u haute couture chocolate, still produced in Belgium, and is also my favorite stop for the perfect gift solution for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Their collection? Traditional ballotin — and luxury gift boxes, seasonal chocolate range, special collections (Tintin Collection, The Smurfs Collection), or u can customize ur own ballotin (pick & mix, 6.4 € /​100 gr!).
In a nutshell: Neuhaus is a great place with a friendly staff for a sweet self-​treat or a luxury chocolate gift.

Yes, Neuhaus has the best chocolates in Belgium. I always struggle when I past this shop, because I cant but help to buy a box of chocolates when I am in Antwerp. Plus the customer service is so excellent. They really take their time with you and educate you about all of the wonderful different chocolates in the store. Make sure to ask for the set of Rum, Whiskey, Champagne, Cognac and Vodka chocolates. So Lekker!

I really, really liked this place! After being bombarded with chocolate stores all day, I remembered this one specifically.
I was in Burie next door and the woman was impatient with me as in explaining the different types of chocolates. I looked at the price and knew it wasn’t a place I wanted to shop.
I went next door and was greeted by a very friendly woman who explained a bit of their history as well as took the time to show me all her chocolates and tailor my experience to my preferences (I’m a milk chocolate person). She gave me a pamphlet which she called their bible, that described every type of chocolate they produce and then gave me an extra to give to my friend back home.
After I thanked her and remarked how my experience with her was so pleasant compared to the other places I had gone, she offered me free samples. This was after I bought the chocolate! It was nice to be treated like a valued customer and that free sample was indescribably good!
