Floris Ustel Midi Hotel(from here on, ‘Ustel’). A place that brings me very mixed feelings! Decent stay, here are my Pros: — Ustel is very close to Brussels Midi station(the station you get off EuroStar). A brief 10 minute walk and you will be there. Decently convenient which is great especially if you got off the train quite late. — Breakfast is included in all packages, and — Wifi is of course a standard. — Price is decently reasonable — The room I was given was gigantic(King Family room with King Bed) — 24 Hr Check in available — Sufficient Heating However; here are a few brief Cons: — The location is convenient; but at night, it felt dangerous, and very dark — It is close to train station, however a good 20−30minute walk from Brussels tourist central area — Breakfast cannot be more simple; there’s some cereal and pastries; don’t expect too much so you won’t be disappointed — The place is a little run down — One of my nights, there were unstable hot water — Only 2 English Channels on TV — Not much around besides a few pubs Will I come back to stay? Certainly! If this is a review site for just budget hotels, they will get my 5 stars!

Great budget hotel located near the Brussels Midi train station(about a five minute walk), which is convenient for day trips to other places in Belgium such as Bruges or Ghent. There are large four person«family size» rooms available which are perfect for families. Room size is very big and the hotel breakfast seemed impressive. Reception is 24 hours and there is baggage storage available.

Cheap hotel a stone throw from Brussels Midi. The only good thing to say about it is that it is cheap. They don’t seem to be very organized. Both times I stayed here there were mixups with our reservations, and confusion when we asked for the bill on checkout. One time we were put in a room next to the elevator shaft, which was quite noisy during the night. The night staff didn’t speak any English.
