Arrived in Vienna in the morning after a long overseas flight. Stopped in for a much needed coffee. A great espresso served in classic Viennese style on a small tray with a glass of still water a biscotti and lots of style. A wonderful welcome to Vienna.

Place rating: 4 Vienna, Austria
If I’m grading Sacher Eck on the YOTCH scale, it gets 4 stars because the coffee wasn’t burnt and it wasn’t as exorbitantly priced as one would expect for a kind-of YOTCH located in the airport. However. These four stars do not indicate that this place was anything exceptional; it was still overpriced, and the coffee was still mediocre, albeit not burnt(I have to stress this fact, since I’m including this place with the YOTCHes). To its credit, the Sacher Eck(or Sacher«Corner», «Sacher» coming from Hotel Sacher, like Sacher Torte), had a nice ambiance and offered a nice place for a chat and a coffee with a friend before she departed from Vienna. As far as airport places go, you’re limited if you’re not also flying, so this is one of the few places to get a coffee with someone else who is leaving the city. I certainly wouldn’t make any special trips to the airport to return here(not by any means!); however, if I’m looking for a place to grab a drink/snack with a friend before one of us flies, I won’t avoid this place, either. It’s totally okay(3 stars), which means 4 stars on the YOTCH scale. ;-)
