World Wide Teaching is one of the best language schools I have ever experienced in 30 years.
Today I present you Mag. Evelin Striegler, the successful entrepreneur behind the company.
1) How did you hit on WWT?
I have already dreamt of my own language school as a pupil and student. After some years of working for the international teacher’s training on behalf of the Department for Foreign Affairs of Germany I wished to put that youth dream into practice. After many years overseas it was time to settle down — and therefore I chose Vienna. Many international companies and organisations are located here and offer an interesting clientele for language teaching. With my supply of German teaching I was pretty soon very successful — based on that I developed the supply of all world languages … and thus WWT came into existence — World Wide Teaching.
2) What was your biggest success and your most difficult time?
THE biggest success does plain simply not exist, it is the total of many small and big successes that make a company successful. The thankfulness of many customers after a successful course completion is part of it as well as the existence of an international language exam provided by the course participants trained by us. Thereto the completion of a big company order also belongs to as well as the wish of numerous main customers to take language courses over and over again with WWT. Furthermore the multifaceted recommendations of satisfied customers as well as the great acceptance of WWT in the diplomatic area are also part of it.
THE most difficult time also does not exist. When you have been developing a company for 15 years by now (1996 – 2011), then there are always peaks and setbacks. If there aren’t any difficult times, you won’t value the success.
3) How do you explain the big success?
Today people are much too often confronted with bulk goods. A WWT language course is no bulk good. The personal support of each customer, no matter whether private customer, embassy, company … is dear to my heart. A personal counseling interview, the flexible scheduling, the customized program development as well as the professional individual counseling by the language trainer and taking seriously each setback, not only on paper and in advertisement, but practically implemented, each day, with each customer are also part of the success. Each customer feels to be personally noticed. That is the key to success.
4) What would you give young people to take with them?
Effort, frankness, purposefulness, creativity, patience, imaginativeness and engagement, realizing own visions … that proves to be successful!
Do never rest on the supposed biggest success… further bigger successes can follow!
Don’t get discouraged by the pretended most difficult times… it can still get more difficult … but it is also the basis for even bigger successes!
