The bakery items are so delicious! And service was good… Not enough pastry selections when I was there(early afternoon) so that’s why it’s not 5 stars. I also was served by a brunette and she was delightful!

I have to agree with David L. I have had the same experience. The blonde lady behind the counter with the shoulder tattoo is always grumpy. This is the only bakery near my work. Twice this week i have walked away because ive had to wait to get served while there are 3 people in the back and only one at the couter who is making coffee(and making coffee slowly i might ad). Pick your act up as its getting frustrating or is going to take a customer to voice their opinion at the counter?

I have visited this bakery a number of times, and almost every time I have received poor service. On many occasions, there have been 2 or 3 staff members behind the counter not doing anything, but also not acknowledging me or other waiting customers — very frustrating! The sandwiches that are made fresh are very tasty. The meat pies are«ok», but I’ve definitely had better. The prices are on the high side.

Love this bakery café have been coming hear for years, the staff are friendly and know a lot of customers names, same owners for the 20 something years I’ve been coming here, they just keep growing with different items on the menu all the time, I love their bacon and egg rolls very generous and bacon crispy how I like it, my husband has the big breakfast for $ 10 includes coffee thick toast lots of bacon any style eggs and tomato. We also get the pies for lunch they are always freshly made and can’t fault them, would recommend this precious place to any one.

3÷3÷2013 — «Smile» On a rainy and gloomy day, sometimes that feeling of cosiness(and laziness) requires the injection of a good old meat pie. For no other reason than to feel even more cosier and lazier. Stopping by in our old neighbourhood we decided to grab a quick bite at Yeronga Bakery and Café. The Bakery and Café has a wide selection of sweet and savoury, from pastries, to cakes, sandwiches, toasties, to sausage rolls and of course meat pies as well as coffee. There were no other customers, and to be blunt, service was very poor. The youngish woman who served us took ages to acknowledge our presence, and when she did; no smiles, and everything seemed like it was a huge favour. Like simply answering our query about what meat pies they had. Whether people realise it or not, as humans, we communicate largely non-verbally and so your mannerisms, your actions, your attitude, those micro-expressions, all convey a message. In this instance, it was«can’t-you-see-i’m-over-it-and-i-just-want-to-go-home-please-go-away». Maybe it was getting towards closing time and we were infringing on her weekend plans? Who knows? We’re just customers who happened by, lookin’ for a good old meat pie. Still, I wanted to try their pies as their slogan is «Best Pies in Town». We ordered the Beef and Mushroom Pie, and the Beef, Bacon and Cheese Pie. We were going to sit in and make use of the tables & chairs outside, perhaps provide a ray of beauty and sunshine in this miserable weather but the cold reception left us feeling a little«off». We did enjoy the meat pie, as it warmed our bellies and hearts, hitting the proverbial sweet spot. As for«best pies in town»? Well, maybe. It depends on your definition of «Town». Best pies in Yeronga perhaps. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for their service, but hopefully, when the sun comes out, it’ll be smiles, friendliness and happiness all around.
