The food is alright but a little pricey for what it is. A box of chips is something like $ 7, you could very easily get the same amount of chips for $ 2 at any fish and chip shop, chicken was a little dry. The girls were too busy talking amongst themselves to take notice of the customers lining up, and seemed irritated that their social gathering was over. It took about 20 minutes to cook a very basic meal, I won’t be back.

P & C Chicken Bar is iconic in Wynnum. It’s been there on Bay Terrrace for as long as I can remember and has Facebook pages dedicated to it by fans. I can remember first visiting it over a decade ago and I’m not sure if the same owners are still there, but the chicken and chips are still up there with the best in the bayside. There are interesting sidelines at the chicken bar too, including great burgers and rolls, nice Chinese dim sims and pork buns, but it’s the tasty, crispy skinned chicken that keeps ‘em coming. Let’s not go over the top here, but it’s good food and well cooked, and situated right in the heart of Wynnum’s main shopping precinct, there’s always a customer or two or three waiting for their order.
