Brisbane’s vintage boutique, ‘Can You Keep A Secret?’, has opened it’s doors to the public in a beautifully renovated Queenslander in Greenslopes.
A few steps past an unassuming front gate and over a small footbridge will have you right in the thick of the stores lovingly designed retro glory. Bold vintage paintings adorn the walls, sweet knick-knacks smile out at you off various shelves and rack upon rack of colourful clothing line the walls. Each room has been carefully set up with a different theme, whether it be the «men’s room», the «kitchen room», the «tiki sun room», or the gorgeous «ladies room».
Head down the stairs past the lovely gardens decorated with quirky figurines, and step inside the vintage furniture showroom and clothing marketplace, complete with a lovely back garden with resident chooks.
Glorious? Yes. But don’t expect exuberant prices here. Instead, good value, great quality and a golden atmosphere, is what this secrets all about.

Business Owner
Both partners, Ajanta and Emily, began their love of vintage from a young age, collecting and selling at markets and through shops from their late teens. Both the style and sustainablity of vintage items is very important to both of them. Their true love belongs to the vintage eras of the 1950’s to the 1970’s, with polyester, international orange and soul music being important to their everyday lives.
