Three stars for food, rounding up to 4 stars for overall experience to factor in for nice staff and entertaining people watching. I was immediately disappointed at my server’s lack of familiarity with the wine list(I wanted local only), but being the solutions-oriented professional she is, she recognized that and poured me generous tastes of a number of wines — score! This is a nice choice if you want to get a little bit away from the immediate tourist areas, enjoy nice dining atmosphere along a great pier, have live entertainment(aka people hustle/bustle watching) and eat get your Aussie meat sweats on! PS the chef’s favorite cut, med rare, is what I got and it didn’t disappoint.

This is hands down the best and classiest steakhouse I’ve ever been to on 4 continents. The quality of the food is amazing, the service is superb and patient and the atmosphere is very rustic with a view of downtown Sydney. You honestly, cannot find a better steakhouse anywhere on the planet. This is it for me, I will forever be chasing the memory made at Kingsley’s Steakhouse in Sydney Australia.

Mediocre. Dissapointing. The scallop appetizer was good, but the barramundy had zero presentation. The flavor was nothing special. Service was great, but there’s clearly a reason most of the tables are empty compared to the nearby restaurants.

Had dinner here as we were staying at an Airbnb place at Finger Wharf. All the places along here have the marina view, on a winter’s eve all have portable heaters cranked up on high. We didn’t plan ahead but was told Kingsley was pretty good so thought we’d try our luck. Most outdoor tables were taken(although we preferred inside) we were just happy they said there would be one in 10 mins. Reasonable drinks list, decent selection of local and international wines. A few craft beers available by the bottle. We were seated by a very boisterous group of about 15 that grew to 20 as the night wore on. The manager apologised when showing us to the table. It was manageable, however by the time we had finished our entrees(around 9.30), the punters at the tables were shouting at each other. As their group grew they took chairs from surrounding tables and tacked on to the table, which in turn means there was no space for the group nor wait staff to walk around. There was plenty of attention to this large table, but it took some serious attempts for us make eye contact with staff to ask if we could shift to one of the empty tables, away from the group. Moving from there to another service black hole(no napkins, couldn’t get a napkin), we finished our meals and again exercised almost superpower stares to get the bill. The floor manager acknowledged the various issues when we were paying our bill. Then explained how we could pay a tip on top of our $ 280 meal. It was hard not to laugh out loud. Decent food, nice location. Weird mix of punters(being Friday pre-Kings Cross?). Service lacking. Would’ve been 4 stars.

The food was solid not spectacular. I was expecting more. The Rib eye was flavourful but it should have been a cut like butter when u cut the steak it wasn’t. I had the chimchurri sauce and it was the first time I had one that was thick. The steam broccoli had zeo flavour. Ever heard of spices? My server was horrible. She shows up mid way thru the meal to ask how my steak was. Then never saw her again. I get it I was one person but for $ 77AUD I would expect better service than one I could get at Sizzler. Come to think of it, theirs is probably better.

Kingsleys is situated on a wharf and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful on a sunny afternoon. I ordered the chilli crab, however thought it needed more spice and kick to it(it was a little on the sweet side). We also ordered a few entrees which were packed with flavour. My brother ordered the rib eye steak but thought it lacked juice. Overall beautiful experience!

Great spot in Wolloomooloo along the water. We had to eat inside as it was full outside. It was not so nice of atmosphere inside as it felt crowded and loud… but outside would have been perfect. Food was very good. I had the Filet. Tuna as a starter was outstanding. Staff not overly friendly but it was a full house and they seemed stretched. Easy to get taxi back to hotel at end of pier. I would go back.

Lovely spot in Woolloomooloo. Almost at the end of the wharf, so you see just outdoors and boats on the water — and not as much foot traffic, or people lingering over you to see what you’re eating. Service is always spot-on. Menu has something for everyone. Loved the Kangaroo last time i was there(don’t eat steak — but my friends love it.) Oysters and shrimp always good. Crablegs– YUM! Call ahead — it’s hard to walk-in and get a table of any size. On a summer evening sit outside, if it’s a little cooler, you could still sit out as they have heat lamps, but if cold, go in and enjoy the little bit of a view from the upstairs dining area. Clear nights offer a cool view of the Sydney skyline. Perfect for date night or a birthday party, though on the expensive side, so bring lots of money. Bön Appetite!

My husband and I ate here recently, I got the New York Strip and my husband got the Ribeye. Both steaks were great, I’d rate the New York Strip as a 4 out of 5, but the Ribeye definitely deserves a 5 out of 5. It was very tender and juicy, cooked to perfection! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good steak near Sydney. Service was also good, our food came out pretty quickly and our waiters/waitresses were attentive.

Unilocal Sydney… thanks! Stayed in the Wooloomooloo area and found the perfect steakhouse .5 miles away from the hotel I was staying at. We were hungry and the first open time slot for«online» reservation the day of was at 815pm. Too late for me as i was starving. I picked up the phone and called in and they gave me some earlier options! Score! If you’ve never been in the area where Kingsley’s is, you need to go. It’s a small boardwalk down a line of warehouses and restaurants. Kingsley’s is down and almost the last restaurant down the row from the street. Prices for steaks here were reasonable. Awesome steaks! U loved my Wagyu rib eye which was cooked to perfection… my only gripe was that the steak was too small for my hearty appetite! :) $ 50+ AUD for about 350 grams of beef. Couple it with the peppercorn butter sauce. Its to die for. I didn’t like their chimichurri(sp?) too much as it was too tangy. I ordered the side of mushrooms as well… awesome! Good service, delicious Aussie steaks and a great atmosphere. Only wish my steak was bigger!!! :)

Had dinner here last night with friends, really thought it was top notch. Our waiter was attentive and quite entertaining. John was his name, give the man a pay rise. I did give him a healthy tip, but you need to hang onto this fella. The grilled swordfish was excellent and the wines were very well recommended. Compliments to the chef

What a Steak. I had the rib on the bone, just perfect grilled and the best Portobello mushrooms in town. My husband had the t-bone with fries and tomatosalsa As a starter we had the garlic prawns and the burrata, both worth trying We had a nice walk from the opera house through the botanic garden to Wooloomooloo. The view overlooking the bay and the Skyline is outstanding A bit expensive but its worth it

What a place– great setting right on the water and always great food. I don’t mind paying for a great steak if I know it’s great quality and Kingsleys is definitely top notch. Snag a table outside if you’re able to(it’s covered so you don’t have to worry about a sunburn) so you can enjoy looking at all of the boats in the wharf as you’re enjoying one of the best steaks in Sydney. You can’t go wrong with the eye fillet, but the black angus striploin is also a favourite of mine. The striploin comes with some amazing horseradish butter that is out of this world, and well worth smearing all over your steak. As for the side dishes you really can’t go wrong with the chips here– thickly cut and salted to perfection(and great for dipping into the leftover horseradish butter). The green beans with almonds are also a standout. The corn fritters have potential, and are well crafted as they’re mainly corn and just a little batter, but they lack seasoning and are a bit underwhelming. Well worth the money if you’re in the mood for a quality steak!

Pepper prawn as starter, 22 dollars with 3 prawn? Kinda rip off but I Love their steak tartar with that truffle aioli! U can order is mixed or non-mixed. That aioli is the main point! I would buy one bottle home! Steak is always perfectly cooked. Roasted pumpkin is lovely. Dessert list is not that amaze only crème brûlée, but it was a disappointment. It was not set! Sugar brûlée is too thick! 2 time dine there I think it enough

I’ve been to a few steak houses in my day in New York City BUT Kingsleys is by far the best steak house I’ve been to, to date. Had dinner here my last night in Sydney last week and enjoyed my meal immensely. I’m not a big red meat eater but thoroughly enjoyed my steak at this fine establishment. Side bar — the views are too shabby either.

This has to be one of the best steakhouse restaurants in Sydney. On a warm night this is the place to be with excellent food, good views and great company.

food — the steak tartare was the best i’ve had, the meat was tasty, the aioli sauce a perfect match. the deserts looked beautiful and the strawberry and rhubarb pavlova was superb. The entry chablis wine by the glass was also very nice. atmosphere — great location, with a great view, not too much foot traffic service — our spanish waitress was quite efficient but not very nice and pushy with the add-ons. value — on the expensive side, but still ok based on the location: steak tartare — 19AUD, Pavlova — 13AUD, wine — 8AUD

Kingsleys is a really lovely venue if you’re after a good steak in Sydney. It’s a place for a special occasion, but too too expensive or outrageous that it needs to be THAT special(which I love about it). My food here has always been good, both the steaks and seafood options. It’s right by the water and has outdoor seating paired with outrageous views of the city. It’s a good place for a group, just be sure to book ahead.

I have been going to this place many many times and I have never been deceived by the food or the people. For me a great experience is about the quality of the food, the people and the location. Now if it is also a kids friendly place, then it gets another big tick. So if you are looking for one of the best steak in Sydney, then this place is yours.

I was wondering around Sydney looking for a place I could have my birthday dinner and the words«Steak and Crabhouse» stood out. Two amazing things! Our waiter was very attentive and fun. We ordered the chilled crab legs as an appetizer to share and they were very fantastic. A lot of yummy crab meat! I had never had them chilled before, but they were very good. The complementary garlic bread was so yummy too. Then we had steaks(I can’t remember which one I got :() But the steaks were yummy, I remember. The prices were a little high but I feel like I can’t judge a year later because I’m used to cheaper prices here in the states. It was a very reasonably priced meal considering how fancy the restaurant was and the awesome location(right off cowper wharf road overlooking the city right on the water). Gosh I really miss Sydney!
