I have been here for breakfast and dinner! Today I am here for breakfast again after 30 min wait. The porridge as pictured was just stunning, healthy, tasted great! Services were brilliant! Coffee was great too! Highly recommend!

Came here for dinner and had the small tasting menu. Some of the dishes were very good; most were average or even slightly above average. Two of the dishes I really did not like, like the poached chicken, but I suppose that will happen when you are tasting many different dishes. Also, the«Fairy Bread» on the menu is not really fairy bread; it’s bread with caviar on it. I suppose their usual clientele probably likes this, but I was just hoping for some fancy fairy bread and was very disappointed. The service of the dishes was strange. Once we ordered a few came right away, then a few more came, but then there was a very long pause until we got more. I think they would do well to pace things out more properly. I enjoyed my dining experience at Pinbone, but wasn’t completely wowed.

Pin-bon appetite! Feeling adventurous we saw this place had a few good reviews and made the trek into town from the south. Parking was challenging but we managed, once we arrived we were greeted by an extremely friendly happy host who informed us of a 20 – 25 minute wait. She grabbed our name/number and welcomed us to wander off wherever and she’d call when a table was ready.(Love it — top CS!). About 15 minutes later she called and asked if a bar table was ok(not out preference) and she insisted that was fine and found us an alternative. We arrived and were greeted again by the awesome host among the interesting, well fitted and fresh atmosphere. Being thanked as we left the waiter led us to our table. Once seated our order was taken fairly swiftly by another happy smiling staff member(seems like a great place to work judging by the staffs level of smiling, cheerfulness and overall attitude! Love that!). I ordered the croque Madame with double ristretto and picollo. Drinks took awhile to arrive, but I wasn’t disappointed when they did. My coffee was full of flavor and well balanced. Really enjoyed it. My food arrived and although there was only 1 fried egg(2 woulda been awesome — noted for next time!) it was absolutely delicious. Stringy gooey cheese, amazingly tasty béchamel sauce and yummy ham. We were never rushed out, the staff were a pleasure and the food was Great. The only thing I would say that was a little annoying was how close the tables were together — we had to kinda make another couple move to allow us to get in. Staff also although the happiest I’ve seen, were et times a bit disorganized, but not to the point of frustration. Cost? Overall brilliant! $ 50 bucks for 2 breakies and 4 drinks. We walked out with happy bellies and a happy wallet! Really really good value. Overall a brilliant experience in all ways! We loved it and will be back — definitely wort the drive!

The staple benchmarks for all restaurants these days are food, service and ambience /atmosphere. Pinbone has nailed all three! You can get in and out of there for less than 50 $ a head; or you can go in and try as many of the sharing plates as possible and then have 6 cocktails(they do an awesome martini) which still doesn’t seem exy given the amount of food you are served and the quality of the dishes. I’m adding this to my must go of you are a syd and a must go if you are looking for that place to go to show off but not break the bank.

Food was good. My companion and I came here for brunch. She ordered the pork bubble and squeak, which she enjoyed very much and said it was a hearty meal, while I had the 5 grain porridge that was not overly sweet. Portions are huge and sharing is recommended to try the different meals on the menu. The service was lacking that we won’t be returning here too soon. We waited about an hour before we were seated, and we noticed there was actually plenty of empty tables on the second floor. Service was slow too and the cherry on top was how they forgot to give us our change, assuming we «had left» and proceeded in giving us the wrong change.

Not only is their prix fixe amazing, their brunch here is amazing as well. Only served on Sundays, the menu is unlike any other I’ve seen in Sydney. Seriously…everything here is good. The chicken burger is the best fried chicken burger I’ve had here, and while it’s no Chic-Fil-A it is goddamn close. Another highlight is the Bacon Maple Tart… that sells out quickly. Creamed corn and club sandwich are also good… just come with a group and order everything.

Brilliant foods served by good people. I can tell that this chef creates all the dishes with passion and love.
