One of the best fish & chip in Sydney. We love: the battered fish, the tasty & tender yet crunchy calamari and the garlic prawns(rather expensive, 4 prawns at $ 10.90, but taste amazing). We also love the homemade tartare sauce. They only have outdoor seating. There’s no table service. You place your order & pay in the shop, then they’d buzz you when your order is ready to be collected. Btw it’s CASHONLY.

Windsor Seafoods in Windsor has been voted Sydney’s Best Fish & Chips. They are good. The place has been around forever — 20 years at least from what I know. In the old style, you see them cooking everything fresh. The battered fish is so good. Never had the oysters or the calamari here which are on the pricey side. You can eat upstairs on the verandah for a $ 5 fee and your BYO wine has with no corkage fee. Bring some beers if you want. Lots of people get take away and eat on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, which is all of one minute walk away, or you can cross the bridge and eat at Macquarie Park directly across the bridge. People from afar make a day of it on the weekend and travel to historic Windsor just to have the fish & chips and a look around. Cholesterol-free vegetable oil in the effort to make the fried goodness a little healthier. They have a blue mackaw that talks.
