I will follow Messina, follow him wherever he may go! Sydney, Melbourne… I’m there! Is a review even necessary? The Messina name precedes its reputation. This household name conjures thoughts of creamy, silky, chunky swirls n mixes of textured, sweet sweet goodness. Flavours to please every palate whether you’re more into the fruity or a chocoholic! Always consider the specials menu first before you go for the standard. They’re special cause they’re special! Otherwise my staples are the salted caramel & the traditional simple yet oh so so soooo satisfying banana split. Mmmm mmmmm!

Milkshakes are delicious, i would have given it 5 stars but the straws are too thin. Bits get stuck in the straw which diminishes the true milkshake experience

I had the chocolate fondant once and it was just ok, but then I had the Pear and Rhubarb gelato that changed my mind about Messina and helped me to understand why this place is so popular. I loved the vibe there, the tunes they were playing, good customer service! Definitely it’s worth a visit there to try their gelato!

Huge queues on Saturday night. We were lining up when a staff member came out to ask us to move further in, thus forcing us to push to the back, bypassing stacks of people who had been lining up. Sorry guys! Maybe they need a better service system. Or a ticket system like Coles!

Gelato Messina is amazing. It’s pricey and it’s busy but if you can hang in there for the long wait to be served its worth it. The flavors are amazing and each mouthful is cream and delightful. I will admit I’m not a massive ice cream fan so the idea of waiting 25 minutes to pay $ 4.80 a scoop doesn’t excite me, but I do understand why this place has such a brilliant reputation. Just remember to have your wallet filled as this is a cash only place!

I’d never been privileged enough to try Messina ice cream before but now that they have opened up in Windsor I am very happy I had the chance. What I noticed was the vast array of different flavours they had to choose from. I like the fact that you can try before you buy’ too. We ordered a 500ml box and I’m a chocolate person so I got the chocolate fondant, we also got the coconut & lychee with the salted caramel & white chocolate. So Yum! Don’t forget to bring cash when you are here as they don’t accept cards. Another reason to love summer, I can see us coming here often in the next few months.

Great service as always, well organized and enough staff to looks after the customers. No huge queue(yet!) unlike its Fitzroy outlet. Don’t forget, cash only!
