Great schnitzels, good service. Specials menu looked pretty good and their dessert and coffee is yummy. Lots of seating inside and outdoors.

Had dinner here last night! Meal was nice, fresh and looked great. We(Husband & I) ordered to much food — as usual! Lol! Garlic bread wasn’t overly garlic-ly… But was still ok. Staff were friendly — mains were Caesar Salad & Chicken Snitz! Chicken Snitz was HUGE! Salad was possibly the biggest let down — was drenched in sauce — literally — drenched… Bowl had a swimming pool in the bottom of it in Caesar sauce!

The Windsor seems to attract seniors and families, it is New Year’s Day and our family wanted something to eat; being the closet pub to our locale we wandered in. The garlic bread was nice but it was cold, boo! It had more of a basil taste than garlic but the olive oil was nice. Our meals seem to be a hit and miss — the garlic prawns looked nice but was told the rice was cluggy and the sauce sour and watery. The roast pork was dry– the chicken burger was ‘amazaaaaang’ My meal was a ‘Sirloin’(ordered Sirloin but got rump) steak and mash. The steak, whilst being the wrong cut — which bothered me, if I am paying an extra for a cut I expect it. Was cooked properly, nice and pink on the inside — the mash was smooth and creamy however the entire meal was bland. No flavour whatsoever. Shame, shame… I don’t know what was wrong with the pineapple but everyone at our table had it and gagged it back out; we have had pineapple from here before and it was wonderful, perhaps just a bad batch, who knows. Would I go here again? Maybe next time the hungover group decides we don’t want to cook.

Not usually my first choice for a dinner setting, but just for a casual weeknight budget meal out it was ok. I have been a few times before and i always seem to draw the short straw in quality. As i tend to go for a beef schnitzel, im sure you all realize some places they are amazing and other place not so crash. But tonight i got sent the older stock and as a butcher i can tell, and my friend got sent a fresher peice that looks slightly thicker cut beef. And it annoys the crap out of me. And i dont personally like the deep fried schnitzel that places like this put out to save time. On the beef the crumbs lift and it will curl slightly where any connective tissue that was left on the meat before slicing contracts and looks unappealing. Salad bar is average, definitely not the best quality. But for a 10.90 schnitzel any Tuesday you have it. I suppose it shows that you get what you pay for? But then again im sure uts the same any night of the week. Definitely wont be first on the list next time. Thanks for reading my useless blabber! :)

Rude young female wait person greeted us with a barely concealed distain and a sneering nasty expression. She needs the sack and quickly. I noticed someone said in another review it might be ok for over 50s. I would like to warn them against setting foot in the place. The food was expensive for the very ordinary quality. The vegetables looked most uninviting. Just looked like a lot of leftovers thrown in together. I am all for recycling but there is a limit. The salad bar was OK. The garlic bread had no decernable garlic taste. There are plenty of better eateries pubs etc locally. Not good enough. We will not be back. Don’t bother even if you are half cut or over 90. Stagger on to the next place. I don’t think I have ever been to a pub dinning room without any effort at all to decorate the walls. No a painting in sight. Not even a flat balloon or streamer.. Nothing. Blank and sad like the little waitress who took our order.

Smells like boiled broccoli! If you need to take your nanna for a nice lunch, take her here. Avoid if you’re under 50. Shocking beer selection, alright salad bar and the usual roast of the day pervading every nook and cranny.

The Windsor Hotel is a very family friendly hotel. It’s the sort of place you’d go to have dinner with the family. That’s pretty much how I ended up going to this place. I walked into the restaurant area which was filled with pensioners and families. The only other main area appears to be a pokies… yay… there’s nothing more boring than pokies… Give me a good old fashioned arcade machine any day, a machine that actually requires a bit of skill to use and isn’t just mind numbing button pressing. Anyway, that’s my opinion. The food was pretty competent. I’ve had better, but I’ve had plenty worse. My steak was a bit redder than I would have expected medium/well done steak to be. I wasn’t too bothered, it wasn’t worth complaining about. The salad bar was average, but the vegetables were dry and the potatoes very brown. I didn’t bother trying them, but my partner said they were OK. Overall as I said earlier, it’s competent. I wouldn’t say no to going again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

If you’re a senior citizen, you’ll have a ball of a time here. I’d recently hit the age of legality and thought I’d bring my dad out for his birthday. My dad’s in his mid-forties, so he’s not quite ‘senior’ yet, and this was amplified by how out of place the both of us felt beside the rest of the clientele. It’s not only full of elderly folk; there is a motley of patrons, for sure. Allow me to attempt an explanation. You know when a friend hosts a dress-up party and they declare a theme? But then, in tiny writing, they allow that not everyone will be able to come as, say, superheroes, so you can dress up as anything you want. You come to the party as an ape, as it’s all you have, and you see Frankenstein’s monster and Charles Dickens too, but then you still feel out of place amongst all the superheroes. That’s what it feels like. And the theme is old. Which is great. I hope it stays that way. If I’m still kicking it in Adelaide when I stop ‘kicking’ things for fear of breaks and fractures, I’ll hit this place up. It looks like it goes OFF, just like my natural teeth.

This is probably my most local pub, but I surely don’t frequent it. There is a large open dining area, beer garden, pokies, dancefloor, bar and bottle shop. The pub is quite old looking, on a corner, but it has been refurbished inside and out the back. The carpark is huge which is good. I do love a good salad bar and this one lives up to my expectations, also they have cheap snitty’s Tuesday night’s. Also, there is a senior’s section on their website which states senior’s get the royal treatment 7 days a week, which gives you an idea of the crowd. I stopped in here once, half drunk on the wa to town with some girls, and we stood out amongst the oldies tearing up the d-floor. The drinks aren’t that cheap either, especially what we drink. I’m sure port and sherry were the specials for the night. But the beer garden is ok, simple, neat and new. They also hold trivia nights on Tuesdays and karaōke on Thursday and Friday for a laugh.
