This is one of the secrets for people living SOR in Perth although it’s getting busier so the word has definitely gotten out.
Tucked away in suburbia, this weir is in between a park and nature reserve. The park is perfect of picnics and barbecues. There’s a playground for kids and the water fountain serves humans and dogs. For those wanting a quiet picnic away from the crowd will be glad to know that there are some areas in the nature reserve with benches and tables for this but please take your rubbish with you.
There is now also a café that is adjacent to the park. This is definitely a winner if you want a picnic somewhere without the hassles of battling traffic and finding parking.
