Always loved crowded house and today was made even brighter by Derek, thanks for the great coffee and customer service :)

This place is ridiculous! I wanted to order corn fritters with scrambled eggs but the menu only stated poached eggs. They don’t allow menu changes so I was expected to order a side dish of scrambled eggs as well for an additional $ 8.50! How arrogant can a café be? I’ll be going to one of the other 99 cafes in Williamstown in the future!

The place had a good vibe and has a large space. This review is based on service and coffee as i have not actually eaten here but today i decided to pop in as my other regular haunt is closed on tuesdsy for a takeaway coffee and whilst i was waiting there was a gentleman standing and walking up and down behimd the counter not even acknowledging that i was there. He then got one of the baristas as he did not know how to operate the POS(my issur is definately not with not yet knowing the system i understand that people nees to learn but not being acknowledged at all is not great. On top of that i waited close to 10 mins for a takeaway which really annoyed me as after i had ordered and it was a good couple of mins 2 lots of 2 people walked in anf ordered takeaways which when they came in seemed to be regulars had thier coffees made before mine which i had already ordered and paid for. All i can say is very disappointing. Om the coffee front it was nothing fantastic and tasted very run of the mill.

Yum! I visit crowded house almost everyday for an iced chocolate or bagel. But yesterday was the first time I’ve been in for a meal. And it lived up to every other experience. Great classic options and some great alternatives like smashed pumpkin on toast. Staff are great and this place is always busy so get in early or be patient it’s worth early mornings and a bit of a wait!

Pretty poor service at times(2⁄3). Food is again okay but not great. Coffee is rated pretty well though

Crowded House is definitely a favourite for me as a former west sider. Lovely light filled interior with folding doors to a leafy courtyard. The service is always friendly. Love the all day breakfast which they have on offer even on weekdays! Yet to try the delicious looking cakes but will be sure to be back. Makes a fabulous starter for the weekend, especially followed by a stroll along the water. My favourite breakfast choice is there smashed avocado, served with meredith feta and macadamia dukha. However, if you have a sweet tooth, have a bite of the banana bread served with vanilla marscapone and candied walnuts — Delicious!

This is the kind of place I want to see doing well. There is always something on the menu that hits the spot, whether sweet or savoury. My regular is the smashed avocado which includes goats cheese, dukkah and a bit of lemon on ciabatta. When I’m in the mood for sweet, the banana bread with almonds, honey and cream is excellent and very filling. The coffee is consistently good, whether eating in or taking away. Great Breakfast place!

Crowed House has this vibe that caught our attention as we were looking for a late breakfast in Williamstown. We soon spied the courtyard out the back and settled in under the sun. After the water and coffee came out we ordered away. I had the special which was perfectly poached eggs on a couple of slices of fresh bread with a mustard seed spread. Fried capers topped it all off with a side of chicken and sage snags. I have not had a breakfast this good in a very long time, well done Crowed House. Pitty you are so far away. You lot out west get here and enjoy yourselves!
