My daughter has to go to The Childrens Hospital at Westmead every three months and this coffee cart is in the foyer when you walk in. I am not a Starbuck Coffee fan but having said this it beats cafeteria coffee any day. This little cart offers all kinds of cakes, muffins and cookies. They also sells thier coffee in bags and to go cups so you can get refills in them. My daughter does like their hot chocolates and they always put marshmallows and cream on top and this makes her happy. I think it might make any one who likes hot chocolate happy :^) I had a coffee frappé this day. This was not the best frappé I have had. Actually I can say McDonald’s Coffee Frappé is far tasiter to this coffee frappé. It didn’t much taste too coffeeish and was not very thick with ice and that is how I like them. But the line is always long and for some reason we always buy a coffee and or a hot chocolate every time we go to the hospital. So they must be doing something right.

One sunday evening in my hunt for finding a new coffee place, I stumbled across Starbucks and found the nearest one to my home is at Westmead Children’s Hospital. Oh em gee. My partner refused to even consider the possibility of us trooping to a hospital for a cup of coffee! Plus he is not a big fan of Starbucks, so he thought I was crazy for suggesting it. Not one to give up easily, I persuaded and finally we headed there.(4 weekends later!) Strabucks is located inside the corner building opposite the reception on the ground floor. There is no café kind of atmosphere. It is a small store, set up against the wall and definitely no café styled chairs or the usual Starbucks interiors to relax and enjoy! It was clearly a hospital and although my Caramel Frappuccino was really good, I was quite eager to head outdoors. The Flat White my partner ordered was quite awful. Didn’t help my situation at all! If you’re looking for a café to hangout, avoid this Starbucks. Although, there probably is something remotely comforting about finding a Starbucks in a hospital if you’re a patient or visiting a relative.
