So, I was just Unilocaling around to find a spot for dinner when I stumbled upon Paesano. I got there at around 7pm, where I realised that I probably shouldve booked a table. Anyways, since I was already there, I ordered a few pizzas for takeaway instead. When I came back to collect the pizzas, there was actually a free table, so we got seated there by the super friendly staff. The pizza was absolutely spot on! Two of the members were incredibly helpful for our stay in Tasmania as they gave us many suggestions on activities while here, as well as researching maps and top attractions for us. I would definitely come back! :)

Delicious! The Paesano and a Chinotto are my usual go-to.

First things first, the prices have gone up significantly. The prices and menu shown are close but not accurate. Although we did not get any pizza, we did get lasagna, calzones, and pasta, and they were all delicious and well made. It was quite nice for a semi-casual and quiet restaurant.

Never been disappointed here with either dining in or take aways! Pizzas are excellent but so are the pastas and lasagne. The fact that the host is a one-eyed Carlton supporter should not detract you from giving this restaurant a try. Fantastic quality, service and value.

Player two has entered the game. Currently Solo is my pizza of choice. Generous, delicious and fast plus a place to wait for takeaway. Also, owner Simon is a legend.

Let’s not muck about, here: I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my time. Good pizza, bad pizza, I’ve eaten it. Paesano’s pizza is good pizza. That’s it. That’s all you have to know. Okay, that’s not true, you can know some more stuff. Like the fact that once I discovered the Gallina pizza, I realised all my pizza dreams had come true and I would never want for another pizza topping combo again in my life.(I know you’re curious: the Gallina’s chicken, BBQ sauce, onion, mushrooms, pineapple and cheese aka all my favourite things). The Gallina makes for some crazy good morning-after pizza as well(because every true pizza connoisseur knows that the true height of a pizza’s glory is in its cold next-day form, unless it’s primarily a cheese pizza). The pizzas come in a range of different sizes, small to medium to large to family. The family pizza is daunting. Small is perfect for one person. I normally get a medium so I can have breakfast pizza the next day(for reasons stated above). I’ve never eaten in at Paesano, because(as other reviews have mentioned) it’s a bit cramped for dining in. Also, I don’t live too far away so it serves me well to call up to order my takeaway, then take a meander up the hill(checking out the awesome Hobart views en route) to collect my pizza. The only problem is then not eating(all of) the pizza before arriving home again. If only Paesano’s delivered…

Great pizza and pasta, the home made gnocchi was plump and scrumptious, the kids devoured their pizza & pasta. Fair range on the wine list too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only downside is that it’s a little overpriced and cramped. Friends went back the following night and enjoyed it too. Another great Hobart find.

Best pizza in Hobart, though it can be a bit variable depending on the night/who makes it. Good ingredients and great dough. The Paesano, The Lansdowne and La Campagna are my favourites. The restaurant itself is often booked out, but they also do a roaring trade in takeaway — phone early on weekend nights if you want your pizza in less than an hour! Very friendly service, and you can watch them making the pizzas in the tiny kitchen while you wait for yours.

Simply superb. The food is imaginative and tasty. Great pizzas, though you are likely to wait due to its popularity. The restaurant is small, so you had better book for evening meals. One of the best Italian restaurants in Hobart.

One of our favourite Italian restaurants in Hobart — simple but fantastic food, good prices, and wonderful friendly service and atmosphere. All meals are available take-away as well.
