CJ’s Pasta

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t stand it when coffee shops feel the need to sprinkle chocolate on top of my coffee, even last few times stated please don’t sprinkle chocolate on and still no one listens. Not just Cj’s guilty of this.
The food, pricey and doesn’t seem to be a priority, to much long chats going on every time and when all this talk goes on coffee can be burned easy, meals take way too long, even more so when they just gotta microwave the meals in most cases.
I had one really bad experience with them and didn’t go back for almost 1 year. It was a case of waiting 53 minutes for 2 slices of quiche and it was smallest piece ever. I told manager and his excuse was we don’t make these anymore because I was 1 of 2 people who order this, no bloody wonder why, on phone says 20 minutes and 53 minutes later for a slice about half the size of a mouse.
I was also told come back anytime and get money back, well that never happened.
Not a good place in a City full of choice.

CJ’s Pasta is wedged between St Bart’s and the Palace Cinema on James Street. Fresh pasta is made on site, but it’s also an option for a yummy and quick lunch as they have pre-​made lunch meals in their fridge at the front of the store.
On my lunch break recently, I popped in to buy some fresh pasta for home but found myself terribly intrigued with some of the meals. With combinations such as grilled prawn, chili and shallot ravioli and pumpkin, fetta and herb gnocchi, I could hardly leave without getting my lunch there as well. I opted for the gnocchi and it was delicious! I would only say that I’d prefer it fresh rather than being heated up after being in a freezer, but in terms of flavours it was great.
CJ’s know what they’re doing in the pasta department, so if you’re like me and can’t resist yummy Italian (food, not people, get your mind out of the gutter!) then it’s worth a look!
