Great kebabs, great burgers and very friendly staff. This place is a favorite of mine and my kids. Everything is home made and simply enjoyable. There are plenty of extras apart from the above with meat puffs, marinated chicken strips and a whole lot more. We make sure at least every month we get a kebab from our favorite store.

Kristos is amazing! They home make their own chicken salt for the chips which makes them taste devine… That may seem a stretch when talking about chips but they really are! They also do ‘chicken sticks’ which are sooooo good! They specially marinade the chicken breast then hand bread and fry it and they are delicious. The filled puff pastries they have are also amazing but the kebabs are second to none! Friendly staff and amazing service you can eat in(out the front they have tables and chairs) or take away. This place is a gem!

Don’t let the looks deceive you, this little takeaway shop is worth it’s weight in gold! Mum and pop run, everything is made fresh and with care however you like, and cheap! So cheap! Give the burgers a go, they are huge and the meat is delicious! Don’t forget chicken salt on the chips and some baklava for dessert! Just note they do close earlyish, so don’t sit around wandering, get down there and stuff your face!

Rhiannon’s review covered most of the details about Kristos’ kebabs but I had to add a comment and say that the burgers are definitely worth a second look. They’re cooked to order and HUGE. A bacon and egg burger for breakfast will easily see you through lunchtime and beyond. Hamburgers come with all the trimmings and a worthy lunch or dinner.

This little corner Kebab shop on busy Sandgate Road, is a bit of a hidden treasure. It is run and owned by a husband and wife, an old Lebanese couple and the food is surprisingly better than what you would imagine. The venue itself looks like a daggy old fish and chip shop and they do have some of the usual deep fried food that you would assume to come from a place like this. They sell burgers and fries and other rubbish. But you’re an idiot if you go to Kristo’s Kebabs and NOT get a kebab. The little old man does all the frying — he’ll make your felafels fresh to order and fry them up while you wait. He also makes up the batches of hummus — mixing and stirring from the back of the shop. He shaves the meat, while his lovely wife takes your order and wraps the kebab. They also sell some sweets on the counter, traditional Arabic sweets like baklava.
