Vapiano

I was given a free slice of pizza while walking past in Brisbane city and was immediately hooked. The food was delicious, wine was lovely and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Will definitely go back!!!

Amazing! From start to finish the food was so tasty and the staff were amazing. I personally like sitting upstairs were thag beautiful tree in the middle.

The staff have enjoy a wonderful camraderie which is amusing as you wait. When you sit on the upper balcony there is a wonderful view of the amazing Garden City piazza. I especially love grabbing a gummi bear from the front desk ion the way out

I’ve hit up the CBD Vapiano a few times and only had pasta each time (and loved the pants off it obvs!) This Sunday saw me and my sister taking a trip to the new and improved Garden City (I think it was refurbished ages ago but it’s a bit of a hike for me). The restaurant area is looking so nice and the weather was beautiful so pizza and a rest from shopping was in order.
We ordered a prosciutto and mushroom pizza to share and it was lip-​smackingly great! I love the inside of Vapiano restaurants, very laid back and relaxing and always amazing Italian food.
Definitely worth skipping the food court for this!

Not a fan of the concept and idea of how the restaurant works, I probably waited inline for 30mins and then waited another 5 – 10 for the food to be cooked, this was on a Thursday night so yeah it was busy.
I couldn’t help but watch people carrying their food up two flights of stairs only to have people brush past them coming down it was a bit dangerous in my opinion and might be a health and safety issue if not properly monitored.
I thought the idea of having the tap money card was good, allowing you to put your purchases on the card and then paying afterwards.
The food was amazing, I have an intolerance to gluten so the chef made sure everything was clean and all the ingredients were correct before cooking.
I’d defiantly go back but on a day when there’s less people around.

I have to be honest — and I will probably get hate mail for this — but I do not like is concept or this place. It seems more like a college cafeteria. When I go out to eat at a restaurant, I do not want to line up and see my food cooked, I want someone to take my order and bring me my food.
This whole concept just seems messy and unorganised. If you want a pizza and a pasta, you have to line up twice to get it which I think it is pointless.
I went here with two other people — one was from South Australia who had never seen or experienced anything like it and the other person has high functioning autism. When the concept of Vapiano was explained to my autistic friend, he nearly had a meltdown because the whole process was too overwhelming for him. Because of this, I highly doubt I will return.
On the plus side, both the pizza and the pasta were quite nice.

The atmosphere here is great. Every time I come here it is buzzing and full of excitement.
Although sometimes there is a large line for food, it is worth it as the food is tasty.
The food may be slightly overpriced but they make up for this with happy hours 4 – 7!
My friends and I love having meet ups here.

And after all this, you taste. Sigh. And again. Ahhh. Comfort foods with class. Not going to bother describing the flavour, all I’ll say is it was perfect. And if perfection still isn’t enough, you can customise your meal with additional herbs and oils.
Go with your family, with your friends. It’s such a large space, yet feels so intimate. Plus the staff are like extended family, making the entire experience both comfortable and memorable.
Vapianos Garden City, you’re a keeper.
