I had a meeting with a friend at the ABC building in the afternoon, so as I waited for the time to come to venture into that large building in Ultimo, I wandered the streets and looked around at the various café’s and juice bars.
I still had the remnants of a cold and I’m a firm believer in fresh juice and ginger when something like that strikes. I walked down to Easy Food and Fresh Juice and ordered a citric concoction with ginger as well.
The older lady their took my order and she told the younger man what it was that I had ordered, he then began shouting at her in Chinese. It’s possible that he wasn’t shouting as I realise that Mandarin is a tonal language and it could be the way those words are said, but I could feel a sense of aggression in his voice.
My juice was delicious, it’s hard to make a bad juice when the ingredients are so simple, and I walked away from Easy Food and Fresh Juice sipping through the straw my delicious and nutritious beverage, made with unnecessary aggression.
