I chose ChopChop Noodles, because they were the only Asian Takeaway in the Broadway Centre who allowed me to pay with plastic. A ‘habit’ I picked up after living in Chicago for 6 years(mugging sucks!) I actually thought I was ordering from the Noodle Soup Bar, so it was a surprise to me that my meal turned out to be a stir-fry. No worries though! I want to save up my Laksa experience for a well known Malaysian restaurant in the area. The guy behind the counter was very kind and helped me pick out my veggie ingredients including egg noodle with a Chilli & Basil sauce(I asked for spicy). I must say that this wasn’t the spice I was looking for so I did need to add additional home-made chilli sauce and flakes. annnnnddd… the sauce was quite thick and really too sweet. I suggest doing a double broccoli and skip the carrots(because who needs em’? Seriously, did you know that whole«carrots improve your eyesight thing is a lie? — yeah! when British Royal Air Force started shooting down more Nazi planes than ever in WWII they told the media is was because they were consuming more carrots, not because they had a brand new radar they wanted to keep secret… cheeky) All in all, I think its confirmed that I am a soupie through and through. If that’s what you want your choices are Clear, Tom Yum or Laksa. They also have other menu items for tasting and a lunch portion will set you back about $ 10.50. A quick, large portioned and tasty meal.
