I found this café through Unilocal and when I found it at the corner I fall in love with it at my first sight.

Probably the only problem I have with cafes in Sydney, or I guess in Australia in general, is that they have a tendency to close early, like 4:00PM, sometimes as early as 3:00PM. This place closes later, at 5:00PM unlike other cafes I have been to in Australia, and this place is literally hidden away from the major streets in Sydney. Located near UTS(University of Technology, Sydney), I met up with a new friend for some coffee. The latte they had here is fairly inexpensive, and pretty good, had a decent creaminess while retaining a little bit of the bitter coffee flavour. This was probably my first time having coffee not only in Sydney but in Australia, and I thought it was a really good introduction. We sat outside and it’s a decent setting for a good conversation in the«arvo». Overall, if you are looking for some coffee in a somewhat hidden area not too far from Central Station and close to UTS, this place is a decent choice for some good coffee.

Great little tucked away café. Love the creative food options — avocado salsa hot chips?! The coffee is excellent, the vibe is kinda refined urban grunge — what do you expect, it’s right next to the Architecture, Design & Building faculty of UTS. The avocado smoothie is a one of a kind miracle.

Ultimo has been needing a studenty café like this one. Another Hideaway is indeed hidden — it’s up the grimy little laneway next to Pausa Café, on the left. Another Hideaway has outdoor seating, and an upstairs section at the back. You order at the counter, and it’s a perfect place to hang with friends or catch up on those readings you’ve been meaning to do. No one asks you to order more if you’ve been there a while, but the food is quite tempting so that might happen anyway. They have milkshakes, homemade muffins, and rather plain but tasty fare, such as burgers and chips, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, and nachos. It’s relatively cheap(compared to nearby cafes such as Mecca), and definitely attracts a student market. The upstairs section has a big communal table as well as side sections. It’s not glam but it’s a fairly pleasant environment. Oh, and the music is good, and they advertise their wifi password. I will most definitely be back.
