Back there tonight — school hols — binge watching the ‘Lord of the Rings’ — got the hungries at about 2am — off to McDonalds Tullamarine — no soft-​serve products inc thick shakes — okay, better Hungry Jack’s Westmeadows than nothing…
Young guy there this time — 2 perfect double bacon burgers, 2 lots freshly cooked well-​seasoned overflowing fries, 2 good decent caramel thick-​shakes, 2 seriously full [and very generous with the fudge sauce] chocolate sundaes, 2 huge cones…
Best value $ 32 I’ve spent for a while… Gotta say it.
Still. not good for customer satisfaction to be solely dependant on which staff member is getting your order together — Management ought to have their eyes open a little wider — ‘1 bad egg ‘ll spoil the whole dozen…’

Had been out to a pub, tonight, for dinner — service ended at 9pm, so NO DESSERT.
Closest place — HUNGRY JACK’S, Mickleham Road, Westmeadows.
Once upon a time, we were great fans of the famous ‘Double Whopper with extra Bacon and Cheese’. I don’t know. you go through fads. and your tastes change. lots of reasons, for not visiting anymore. Sometimes, your choice of fast food becomes a habit, and once you break it, or replace it, you kinda forget about it…
Anyway, we ordered 4 x Large Sundaes — 2 Caramel and 2 Strawberry — Cost: Approx $ 20
Well. sorry to say, HUNGRY JACKS, but:
Firstly, the containers were all, none of them filled to the top — a bit rough!!! And the one passed to me was really only half full. Very rough, I’d say!!!
And, secondly, the Strawberry ones ‘HAD NOTHING’ on your NO 1 Competitor’s offering — In fact it wasn’t anything like it… No strawberry pulp to be found; Colour of it just so unnaturally bright; No intense strawberry flavour; and Soft serve not quite right…
We didn’t enjoy them really. Wished we’d travelled another 100 mtrs, or so, up the road…
What a shame!!!
Visited on Saturday 8 January 2016 for dessert after dinner.

My experience with this Hungry Jacks was fine. The service was reasonably quick, and my burger was as tasty as any burger that I would get in a Hardee’s in America. Oh, maybe I shouldn’t have made that last reference as Hungry Jacks was able to ripoff Hardee’s design, menu, and theme, winning an international court case years ago… ouch!
Well, whether it’s Hardee’s or Hungry Jacks, this is a solid stop to find some airport grub on a layover

In previous reviews for fast food, I attempt to be realistic. Whilst some reviews for a midnight fast food visit seem to compare the excursion with a degustation meal at a Michelin star restaurant… I tend to lean by way of saying, «it is what it is»!
But coming to Hungry Jacks AT Melbourne Qantas Terminal, I am compelled to write a scathing review for the rude service, poor quality and then the nerve to charge 10% on top for the privilege. …
Let’s back up a bit, once again I am hungover. But to add to my off feeling, I have a flight back to Perth to enjoy as well. To try and get my body to feel a little bit, I turn to fast food (don’t judge!!!)
I come though security to see the comfort food I have craved… from about here the experience turns to crap! !!!
AFTER waiting 40 minutes in queue, I was informed that I wouldn’t be getting ice with my drink… but don’t worry, «it’s cold out of the machine»… no its not!!!
Also, after the wait I got charge 10% for a public holiday!!!
Get ready for the rant, because here it comes.. «I hate any place which charges a surcharge and trades with MINIMAL staff and thinks we as the consuming public are okay with it… I hate it more when it is a large conglomerate who has nailed down wage costs and exploits it’s young work force. The surcharge is basically profit!!!»
So, Overall a crap experience and I cannot wait for Macdonald to bring in automated service points and do away with the crap excuses and service hungry jacks continues to provide..

Terribly slow service from staff with poor attitudes. Clearly they don’t like their job (and I probably wouldn’t either) but surely they can hire people who would be happier to be employed. Sloppy takeaway… Can it get any worse? All I wanted was a soda, not a cup full of regret and disdain.
