Brickworks Halal Butcher

The great thing about the Brickworks Markets (for me) is how close it is to my house! On a Saturday or a Sunday I barely need to leave the house to be able to cook up a delicious meal. I can nearly everything I need there, including fish (at the new fishmongers) and meat at the Brickworks Halal Butcher. Now of course pig products are out of bounds at the Halal butcher, but that doesn’t bother me too much. I’m not *that* into pork or bacon.
You can pick up a range of meat cuts here — all the usual stuff a butcher does, but of course halal style. The most interesting product is the goat — you can buy a whole goat here, they have them just hanging in the window. I’m not a huge entertainer, so I can’t really imagine the situation in which I’d cook a whole goat, but ya never know… I usually just buy chicken here. They sell thighs, drumsticks and breasts — pretty cheap. Not the best quality — a little on the fatty side for me — but on Sundays I can’t be bothered walking all the way to the other shops. You can also get chicken hearts to feed the cat or dog should you wish.
