Veraison

Firstly the service is spectacular. Andrew is great, able to suggest the perfect wine for the meal that you going to have. Secondly… where they have moved to isn’t what Verasions is about. You go there for a quiet meal. Now it feels like every other restaurant in Toowoomba it was noisy. It is a shame that they moved, or at least changed their layout and seating. There is no more white cotton table cloths. Half of the seating in the ‘area’ we were in was like booth seating. Not what I would expect from a restaurant of that caliber. I felt like I was in the local pizza hut. It was nice but please if you can go back to what you originally did. Toowoomba needs something like that.

My bf surprised me with birthday reservations! Score!
We were greeted by Andrew, one of the owners, and he took excellent care of us from start to finish. We ordered the five course degustation menu, so you know we were there for a few hours!
We started with a duck breast salad, then I forget, then beef, then salted caramel dark chocolate mousse, then a cheese and fruit platter. We opted to just order a few glasses of wine, rather than have the pairing, as my bf was driving, and I was already a little tipsy. Did I mention that it was my birthday, and that I kicked off the morning with some mimosa?!! Okay, so a lot of mimosa?!! It was downhill from there.
The food was excellent, and the service was even better. The décor is a little blah, but I know the inner courtyard patio is a gem in the summer.
