Grand Central Shopping Centre is centrally located in the heart of Toowoomba CBD, offering the only true experiential shopping destination in the Darling Downs.

Grand Central offers the only Myer department store in the region and features over 50 fashion stores including Veronika Maine, Jacqui E, Portmans, Sussan and Sportsgirl. Grand Central is home to many other leading national retailers including Target, Coles, Rebel Sport, The ABC Shop, The Body Shop, Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinema, a 550 seat food court and 140 specialty stores.

History

Established in 1996.

Stage one of the Centre opened in September 1996 incorporating a new Target store, a new Coles Supermarket and 30 specialty stores. Stage two opened with Myer, the only national department store in the Darling Downs, alongside an additional 40 stores and a 550 seat food court. The development was completed in June 1999 with the introduction of a five screen Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinema Complex.
