My bf and I decided to pop in for dinner last night. There were a few birthday parties going on, but we had no trouble getting a table. You are seated with a menu, then you order at the counter, which seems a little archaic for a nice, ambient restaurant., especially when there are so many staff walking passed our table. I ordered a pan-seared cod, which was cooked nicely, but grossly underseasoned. The bok choy was nice, and added a little texture to the dish, but no seasoning again, and the mashed potatoes were very rich and overly seasoned. Weird. I wouldn’t be surprised if the three different components are prepared by three different people. At this point, we were bombarded with servers, clearing plates, asking us if we want dessert, another would come by, take an empty glass, ask us if we wanted dessert. Then we were visited by another one or two servers. So remind me why you can’t place an order at the table?!! I’d try it again, but on a night with a pub special. I don’t mind a lack of seasoning when I’ve paid $ 10 for a pub meal…
