As a uni student I have always had a love hate relationship with Cucina. Love the food, the people and the vibe, but not so much the prices. Hence the 4 star rating. I often get the banana bread with a coffee but today I decide to try their Moroccan Lamb filo with a pineapple, guava and watermelon juice, coming to a grand total of $ 20. The lamb filo had the option of adding one of their salads to it, however that would cost an additional $ 8.50 that I just don’t have. However, the salad options did look delicious. It seems they have bought new indoor furniture, nice dark wood benches that add a comfy, cosy vibe. The interior design feels right at home in the beautiful coastal village of Thirroul. The owner of the place(or who I assume owns it) is a very bubbly, charming man who treats everyone like family. When he delivered my meal he added a delicious pot of spiced yoghurt«to compliment the dish» and oh. My. GOD did it! I couldn’t get enough of it. Even without the salad I feel incredibly satisfied and full of good food. The juice was also delicious, anything with watermelon is! Overall this place is brilliant to grab a bite to eat with friends, kill time during a study at the nearby library or if you’re waiting for a train. Highly recommended
