What a great time! Our tour leader was funny and really made sure we were all safe and having a good time. Spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. A real highlight of our time in NSW.

Absolutely worth every penny and a must do in sydney. my guide was very knowledgeable and even had me in tears with a story about the brave men who built the bridge.

If you are visiting Sydney, you really need to do the Sydney Bridge Climb. I know it may sound scary to people that are afraid of heights, but believe me, you can do it! The views are unmatched, and the experience of being on such an iconic bridge is something you will take with you forever!
I took the Express Climb, which still takes about 2 hours, but doesn’t skip an thing when it comes to views, history lessons, and photos opportunities. I definitely recommend doing this at least once!

This was a spectacular experience! From check in, to orientation, to suit up, to gear check, this was a very well run operation and a great deal of care was taken to make sure everyone was not only safe, but having a blast.
Yes, they advise you to take off your pants when you wear your specially crafted suit, and I can say that’s a great idea. The suits tend to get a little warm, and if it rainstorm, you’ll have a dry pair of pants to change into. No watches allowed or anything that can fall off. You sunglasses will have a cord attached and they provide a hat which will, you guessed it, be attached via cord. They also provide sunscreen prior to exiting the gear room; use it!
The climb itself isn’t bad at all. There is only one area of rather steep stairs, but the rest is a gentle slope. There are a few places to grab a drink (water fountain or bubbler) along the way. The views from the top cannot be beat. My wife has an incredible fear of heights, and was fine in this climb. Our guide was awesome!
This is a MUST do activity whilst in Sydney.

On the flip side… For the price $$$ do something else memorable in Sydney. The whole climb was very slow going and always bottlenecked because they take photos of you along the way only to offer for sale at the end for $$$. I personally felt it was extremely boring for what it was.

If you are going to visit Sydney, or even Australia in general, one of the most iconic landmarks that you will want to see is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. There is then the temptation to climb the frickin’ thing!
On Australian tourist information sites, the Bridge Climb is often recommended as a ‘must do’, both for spectacular views over Sydney Harbour and Circular Quay, and for the experience of climbing the tallest steel arch bridge in the world. However, they often fail to mention that the climb is done in a jumpsuit with only your underwear on underneath!
REAL TALK — IS IT WORTH IT?
At $ 363AUSD per person (varies depending on time of climb), the Bridge Climb is probably going to be the dearest activity for most traveller’s visit to Sydney. $ 363AUSD is a big expense, and a large portion of the holiday fund, particularly if you are touring Australia on a budget. All that money… to climb a bridge?! Before I even did the climb, I was perversely hoping that at the end I would be thinking, ‘WHAT A RIP OFF EH!!!’. I don’t know why… perhaps my Scottish pessimism.
Surprisingly, it transpired that the recommendations were correct, and it was a great experience!

The views are phenomenal.
You don’t have to be too fit to do it.
It is a slick operation. They have everything down to a T. It is very well organised and laid out; from getting changed into the jumpsuit, to getting safely harnessed, and the climb itself.
The guides are very knowledgeable and funny.
Small groups (we had a group of ten).
Great photo opportunities (within the restrictions described below).
Free group photo /​certificate at the end.
You are provided with a jumpsuit to wear, and advised to only keep your underwear on underneath. It sounds ridiculous, but climbing the bridge, particularly in the height of Australian summer, is a sweaty task, and my clothes would have been drenched if this wasn’t done!

You cannot take your own camera on the climb. You have to rely on the guide taking pictures at pre-​determined points.

During our climb, a gate was not closed properly on the bridge, meaning we could not go forward at a section. This led to us standing for around ¹⁵⁄₂₀ minutes until this was rectified, and in my opinion, made our climb a night time climb, and not the Twilight climb that we had booked.
There were things I would have expected to be included in the price that were not (e.g. cleaning our own headset, having to worry about how we gave back our jumpsuit, a 2 page survey at the end)
DO IT
The price is expensive, which I think is understandable, as it probably costs a fortune to insure and keep safety procedures to the high standard that they are.
If you have the opportunity, and if the price is within your budget, do it. It was a memorable experience, and hopefully the photos show how much of a good time I had.

I had the privilege of making the BridgeClimb some years back. Not only was it unforgettable, but it will remain in my top 10 list of memorable activities I’ve ever taken part in.
The tour takes a while, so you have to set aside a good amount of time, and the weather has to be decent.
You’re given instructions, you don a uniform, you’re given a headset, and you’re strapped to the bridge. Get ready for a lot of up and down staircases and ladders in a small group of people. Once you get to the top, you’re treated to awesome views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House. Yes, you actually climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I’ve been to Sydney twice, and this, by far, was one of the most distinctive experiences I had while I was there. Yes, it’s touristy. Yes, it’s worth doing… for the views alone. At the end of the climb you’ll be given photos from your experience. You can bring cameras on your climb, but there are some strict rules about when and where you can use them.

Worth doing. As a Sydney local it was a very enjoyable experience.
You go up in groups of about 10 people.
It takes about 3 ½ hours for the entire climb.
It’s very pricey.
Do the climb which goes to the top of the bridge, and not the walk which takes you underneath the arch.

Unique experience, great views, good tour.
I did this climb in October 2015 and it was a lot of fun! A friend decided she wanted this to be her birthday adventure so we went through the training, donned grey onesies, and enjoyed the views. The climb itself is rather easy with the only strenuous task being the ladder climbs. Our tour guide kept it interesting with historic and funny tales of Sydney and everybody in our (70% Aussie, 30% American) group came away saying how much fun they’d had.
Notes:
Consider a night climb if you want to avoid the sun baking on you. The nighttime view of the harbour is really nice! But still wear shorts because … humidity, people, humidity!
Don’t stress talk yourself out of this; it sounds scarier or more daring than it really is. Just be in good health and you’ll be fine. One of my friends has real issues with heights, but she was OK throughout.
Included with our package was: a group photo, a BridgeClimb hat, and a certificate of completion.

Awesome attraction. Very expensive, but worth it. If everyone complains maybe there will drop the cost down. Do not stop at the pub on the way, they will breath test you to ensure you’re not drunk or have not been drinking, you can’t take your own camera up, its a fairly easy climb, make sure you book ahead and pick a day, sunset or night when the weather is clear.

An Aussie friend (who’s opinion I trust) summarized BridgeClimb Sydney as follows:
– It’s far too expensive
– It’s very «touristy»
– But… It is a one-​of-​a-​kind experience worth doing once
So I took his advice and made a reservation for a morning slot on my first full day in Sydney. Because — who knows if I’ll ever be back?
The name pretty much says it all, though a better one might be «BridgeHike Sydney» In short, starting at the base of the bridge, I walked with a group (led by a guide) to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge using built in catwalks, walkways and ladders. Safety was paramount, so we were harnessed in the entire time using an ingenious rail system.
One of BridgeClimb’s key requirements was to make sure car traffic on the bridge was unaffected, so there were no cellphones or cameras allowed (or anything else we could drop on the roadway). Sunglasses had to be on tethers. And they supplied each of us with a temporary jumpsuit, harness, hat, and even a jacket if needed (all of which were clipped in securely). The entire system was very well designed.
As for the tour itself, there were multiple types available: BridgeClimb (3 – 4 hours), BridgeClimb sampler (1.5 hours), and Bridgeclimb Express (2 hours). All were AUD 270 for a daytime slot (more for sunrise and twilight; even higher during the holidays). I chose the BridgeClimb Express since it was specifically for those in decent shape who wanted to climb to the top more quickly (and didn’t want to spend 4 hours on the bridge). We also got to skip a bunch of extremely basic-​looking training.
In short, I had a fantastic tour. I was able to see the bridge structure from multiple angles; learn about its construction and history; and take in glorious views of the entire harbour. Stunning; and so cool. When a light rain started to fall, few of us cared. (I did hit my head a few times on low passages, but such is the curse of the tall)
Despite the great experience, the price really was extraordinarily high for a pre-​arranged route; staffed by one employee. Considering BridgeClimb has no competition, has been operating for 17 years, and gets hundreds of paying customers every day, I can only surmise that they have figured out how high a price they CAN charge and still keep their reservation slots nearly full. (All the equipment must have been paid for 10 times over by now). And the high price doesn’t cover everything. For instance, if you want photos of your experience (taken by the climb leader), you will need to pay extra for that. Remember that part about not being able to bring your own phone? (What a convenient situation for them)
The last question is: Would I recommend BridgeClimb to others visiting Sydney? Yes, but only if money is not an issue. If money is tight, there are some excellent alternatives — such as strolling on the bridge’s pedestrian walkway or visiting the excellent Harbour Bridge Pylon Lookout (
. As for me, If I ever come back this way, I’ll follow my Aussie friend’s advice and skip it. Once was enough.
Tips and tricks:
– Reservations recommended
– No bathroom availability for the entire tour; make sure to visit the loo one last time before putting on your jumpsuit.
– For a faster tour, take the BridgeClimb express. It’s not really that difficult.
– Lockers are available to store your phones, jackets, purses, etc.
– A rudimentary changing area is also available (i.e. curtains)
– Wear light, comfortable clothing. (again, you’ll be putting a jumpsuit over them)

Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, it’s mainly done by overseas tourists. No, you can’t take your own camera and phone, and yes, you need to wear a funky grey suit. But is it worth it? Yes!
I’ve lived in Sydney for over 15 years, and during that time I’ve crossed the bridge countless times, whether in a car, bus or train, on foot walking, running (including as part of the Bridge Run and the Half Marathon down the centre of the roadway) and on a bike. But, heading up on top and walking upon the archway is an amazing experience.
The views are spectacular and part of the reason to do it (especially on the clear day we completed it), but the main reason that all local Sydneysiders should one day do this, is to just get up close and personal with this grand old dame, and literally walk on top of it — it’s just such a wow experience!

For my 200^th review, I wanted to choose something big and significant, and this is definitely it. A lot of people have already hit the bit points – it’s expensive, it takes 3 – 4 hours, and there is a lot of waiting around to fill out forms and suit up. I’m just going to focus on the main things that would make or break the experience for myself.
Like many have already noted, this is not a very physically demanding activity. I think if you just went up and down the bridge without stopping for photos or tours, it would take about 35 – 45 minutes max. I was kind of hoping for something a little more challenging, but this tour is all about the experience and views.
I did the sunset tour, which provided amazing daylight views of the city, a beautiful sunset, and fantastic views of the city all lit up on our way down. I highly recommend it!
There are a LOT of tours going on at the same time across the bridge, so you have to stop frequently to wait for them to take photos and move on. Luckily, our tour guide was fantastic and kept us entertained the whole time. He obviously had to know all about the bridge and other random Sydney facts to give the tour and answer questions. But he was also extremely personable and friendly, no awkward moments at all – well, except the ones that were caused to my own awkwardness. He was loving the sunset so much that he took a bunch of unscheduled pictures and gave them away for free! Score!
Overall I was really happy with the experience, but I can understand how some people might not get the same cost/​enjoyment ratio as me. Definitely not for everyone, so do some reading and adjust your expectations accordingly!

This is an incredible, must do at least once, will never forget it type of experience.
Yes it is expensive, yes you have to do some boring safety training, yes you have to wear an unattractive grey suit, yes they make you exit via the gift shop, yes you have to be a flat zero blood alcohol, but I promise all of those things are worth it when you reach the top.
Go do it! Even if you’ve lived in Sydney your whole life.

On my first visit to Sydney 14 years ago I decided the BridgeClimb was too expensive for my backpacker budget… and then regretted not having done it when I went home! So, when I returned to Sydney earlier this year, conquering ‘The Coathanger’ was one of the top things I wanted to do this time.
I was not disappointed. I chose to do the full three and a half hour tour at night-​time — the first night climb of the evening. The tour starts with form filling, various checks, getting suited and kitted up, and being put through your paces on the training ladders and walkways.
We began our climb just as the sun had dipped over the horizon, with the city basking in the twilight. I had expected that I might feel a bit exposed to the elements once on the top arc of the bridge but the conditions were comfortable — it was still warm, just a little humid, and not too windy. The 360 degree views are amazing and extend right to the very edges of sprawling Sydney — our guide even pointed out the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The view continued to become more magical as the city and its iconic landmarks lit up and sparkled whilst darkness descended.
Our guide was very friendly, easy-​going, and full of knowledge and stories about the bridge and the city. The climb itself is not strenuous — it goes at a leisurely pace and there are lots of opportunities to stop and take in the magnificent views whilst listening to some history and having your photo taken. The only challenging bit was a series of ladders that leads you to the top arc of the bridge near the beginning of the climb, but the tour is relaxed and you are given plenty of time to take these at your own pace.
When we arrived to check in for the tour we were given complimentary tickets for the Bridge’s Pylon Lookout, which was an unexpected bonus — I’m not sure if that’s a regular thing or a promotion at the time.
I would absolutely recommend doing the full BridgeClimb — especially a twilight or night climb. It was a definite highlight of my trip — well worth the money!

This was not exciting.
I went at night, which is actually cheaper than during the day even though to me, seeing the buildings lit up against a dark sky and reflections in the water is much more scenic. You wouldn’t think it, but it’s still rather humid at night, so I could only imagine what it’d be like during the day with the sun beating down on me.
As others have mentioned, as long as you can climb ladders, you’ll be fine. The climb is not physically demanding and it goes at a very slow pace. You’re on the bridge for three hours, but the amount of time spent walking is probably around 30 minutes. The rest of the time, you’re standing, but you have plenty of railings to lean against if you’re concerned about getting tired.
My biggest issue with the climb is that you see pretty much everything you’re going to see at the very beginning of the climb. You start underneath the bridge through paths to get to ladders that bring you to the actual bridge climb. Once you start climbing the arch, you can see everything and the short half-​bridge distance you travel does little to vary your view.
The constant start/​stop pace bored me. You spend most of the three hours waiting, under the guise of a «tour», for the group before you to finish taking pictures. We were lucky to have a clear day, but the resulting pictures were rather underwhelming. Any of the pictures you see online where the Sydney Opera House is really large and clear are not the reality. It’s small and far in the background; you, a giant obtrusive figure in the foreground.
Much like many other tourist attractions in any country you visit, this is one of those things you do to say you did it. For me, it falls into that category with the addendum, «glad I didn’t have to pay because $ 200+ is ridiculous and probably wouldn’t do it or recommend it to anyone looking for a thrilling activity».

If you have 4 hours and the money to spend for this experience, it is totally worth it! The staff does an excellent job of taking you through the steps to get ready —
— Sign liability forms
— Use Changing rooms to take off clothes and put on nylon jump suits
NOTE: You will NOT be able to bring ANYTHING with you! — Nothing! This is for safety in case you should drop anything on the people/​traffic below you, and also so you pay attention to what you are doing. They will have you do through a metal detector. Glasses/​watches are fine.
— Put on climbing harnesses and other items
— Train on how to «hook on» and move through cabling transfers
— Train on climbing ladders Up and Down
— Train on the mesh walkways
Etc… They are very safety conscicous and you will be well trained to climb.
Honestly the hardest part is climbing the ladders and that isn’t that hard — once you are actually to the bridge and start to climb it is like walking up slanted stairs or a hill.
The leader takes pictures (individual and group) pictures for everyone and of course you can buy these at the end. There is also a nice gift shop with other Sydney items available too.
Again, if you have the time, money and desire — Go For It! :-)

To me, the BridgeClimb is not about the view of Sydney Harbour and as far as the eye can see. It is about the experience of climbing a steel structure over water.
I am glad I did it last November, despite the staggering price. I first saw people climbed the bridge in 1999 and thought of doing it. The cost (A$ 100+) was a deterrent then (still is) and I gave it a miss. I regretted since when I saw how the price kept going up. So I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. Who knows if it will continue to go up in future.
The whole journey was very safe as you would be hooked up to the bridge at all time and there was a mini training to let you get used to it. I booked the last slot before the twilight and so managed to see a bit of sunset towards the end.
Allow yourself time to do it as it took around 4 hours or so, including the waiting and the «training» and changing of clothes etc. I had to wear their shoes as my Keens were not fully covered at the back and they deemed it as unsafe. So not to worry if you did not bring proper shoes for this.
It was really windy when I got up there and my cap blew right off my head. Luckily it was attached to the jumpsuit (everything need to be attached and strictly no loose particles on the person) and so it did not drop into the harbour.
The only «scary» bit was when the bridge vibrated when we were making our way back due to the passing train at that hour. But you could just stayed still for a while till it stopped and you got your bearing/​footing again.
If you have the spare cash or this is on your bucket list of things to do, this will be one experience you do not want to miss. Frankly there are other alternatives if you just want to have a good view of the city and harbour without climbing the bridge.
Deduct one star for the exorbitant price — A$ 218-​A$ 368 for day, night, twilight or dawn climbs.

This is a ‘must do’ whether you are a tourist or a local. Known to Sydneysiders as ‘The Coathanger’, the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge is the world’s largest (but not longest) steel arch bridge. Connecting the northern and southern shores of Sydney’s sparkling harbour, the Bridge is an instantly recognisable symbol of Australia around the world.
I’ve been twice now — once in the rain and then another time in finer weather. Both times it was exhilarating. The average cost is $ 258 for an adult and varies depending on the time of day. A cheaper option is the Bridgeclimb Sampler for only $ 148.00
There are four different types of climbs depending on the time of day. Dawn, Day, Twilight, Night, Bridgeclimb Mandarin (for our Chinese speakers) and Bridgeclimb Express if you want a speedy tour of 2 Hours 25 minutes.
The climb leaders are very knowledgeable and will entertain you with stories about the history of the Bridge. The highlight is a set of photos taken at the summit of the bridge and then presented to you with your personalised Climber Certificate.
If you are scared of heights — this attraction could give you fear. I must admit it was no problem to climb the main arch as you are very securely fastened to a hand rail and you are a few metres back from the edge anyway.
I say do it — climb the 1,002 steps on the arch until you reach the summit of the bridge (134m above sea level) then admire the view of the Opera House, Sydney City and the surrounding districts.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the most iconic landmark of the city. Every postcard has an image of this majestic structure, but how cool is it that you can actually CLIMB the bridge? The view at the top is breathtaking, and not just because of the steps you just climbed.
The twilight time slot costs a bit more, but the climb is already expensive, so why not get the full experience? You see a change in skyline from daytime to sunset to city lights. The whole process takes almost 4 hours, unless you do an express climb, which, why would you want to shorten your time up there?
Use the bathroom before you go up, and make sure you like the people around you. My friend threatened to fart in my face, so I avoided standing behind him. There is no turning back once you’re out there. You get suited up and go through a brief training session. You’re not allowed to bring anything — no cameras, phones, or GoPros. I couldn’t even wear my FitBit; I must’ve lost thousands of steps! It’s a safety precaution. There are cars on the freeway below, and if anything were dropped from that height, it would be lethal.
It didn’t take long for me to determine that Aussie guys are hot. Our bridge climb instructor? HOT. And he’s from Texas, which begs the question– was he always hot, or did he become hot after moving to Australia?
Anyway, your instructor leads the group and recounts interesting facts or stories throughout the climb. It’s really not very strenuous, as you get to take breaks. I felt totally safe because the steps are well designed, and there are hand rails. There are a few steep ladders to climb, but still pretty low on the scare factor.
Since you’re not allowed to bring a camera, there are designated spots where they take professional photos for you. The group photo is free, but if you don’t want random strangers in your keepsake, you can purchase individual shots.
Of all the adventurous things you can do down under, this one tops the list, no pun intended.

Wo ich grad auf Qype im Ausland herumirre, fällt mir auch ein, in Sydney gewesen zu sein.
Die Harbour Bridge sollte man als Tourist gesehen haben!

Die 1105 Meter lange und 1932 fertig gestellte Brücke
verbindet den Milsons Point mit dem Dawes Point. Die Einheimischen nennen sie
wegen ihrer Form auch Coathanger (Kleiderbügel)”. Neben der Mautpflichtigen
Autospur können auch Fahrradfahrer und Fußgänger die Brücke überqueren.

Des
Weiteren kann man am Südostpfeiler auch die Brück besteigen. Nach über 200
Stufen hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über die Stadt. Leider war da gerade
das Akku leer. Aber ich kann versichern: Es lohnt sich.

Tolle Stadt, tolle Brücke, was soll ich sagen? Man sollte unbedingt einmal dort oben gewesen sein. (Bedingung ist das nötige Kleingeld, Volljaehigkeit und Schwindelfrei) Ein wunderschöner Blick über die Stadt und den Hafen Top!

1. EIntrittskarte buchen mit Terminvereinbarung
2. nach Eingang in das Bridge Climb Centre Alkoholtest (0,0 ist Pflicht)
3. Der Guide für die 8−10-köpfige Gruppe stellt sich vor, wir stellen uns dem Guide vor (Name?, Woher? Warum heute den Climb?)
4. Umkleidekabine um Vorbereitungen zu treffen = Ringe, Uhren, Handy, Fotoapparate, Taschen alles in den Schrank und den Anzug (Overall) anziehen mit Reißverschluss hinten. Wer keine festen Schuhe hat, bekommt welche, keine Kletterei mit Flipflops
5. Shoppen gehen Jetzt gehts in die Halle und alles wird professionell befestigt, was nicht abgelegt werden kann bzw. was man ersetzen muss (z.B Taschentuch), weil man an keine eigene Tasche mehr gelangt es gibt im Anzug vorn im Schulterbereich nur 2 Reißverschlüsse, die mit Gasestoff nur Lüftung ermöglichen. Brille wird mit Band befestigt, Haar mit Gummi und Gummi mit Band befestigt und um Handgelenk gibts das Schnupf– und/​oder Winktuch mit Gummi. Bei Regenwetter natürlich auch Cape, worauf wir verzichten konnten.
Dann wir Fallschutz angelegt. Technisch ausgeklügelt und unaufgeregt. So ausgerüstet gehts
6. auf die Teststrecke witzig Aber sicher für die Angsthasen unter den Besteigern hilfreich. Also Fallschutz in die Schiene einstecken und auf ein Treppenattrappe klettern
7. kurz vor der Besteigung gibts Wangenkopfhörer, damit allen den Erklärungen des Guides folgen kann, auch wenn man der 8. der Kettererreihe ist.
8. es geht los, wir steigen auf. Es ist nicht anstrengend. Es gibt Stopps und Blicke genießen und professionelle Fotos eins mit im Preis später abzuholen, alle anderen zusätzlich bezahlen.
9. Alles wieder abgeben, Umziehen, Fotos holen, der Shop lässt keine Wünsche offen und

Was für eine wunderschöné Brücke.Egal ob mit dem Auto, Zug oder zu Fuss oder Fahrrad eine Überquerung ist ein muss.

Mein Vater wohnt in der nähe von Sydney und es ist einfach für mich die schönste Stadt die ich je gesehen habe.

Für Sydney-​Reisende ist die Hafengegend mit der Harbour Bridge wohl ein Muss. Besonders schön zu sehen ist die Brücke bei einer Fährfahrt, wobei man auch gute Schnappschüsse von dem Opernhaus machen kann.
Wer noch Geld übrig hat, sollte einen Bridge-​Climb machen, der nicht nur Nervenkitzel, sondern auch eine tolle Aussicht bietet.

Die Harbour Bridge eines der Wahrzeichen Sydneys. Bestens empfehlenswert bei Sonnenuntergang. Wenn Ihr Zeit habt und schwindelfrei seid — macht den Bridgewalk.
I would definitely recommend doing the bridge climb. It is expensive but worth it. The view from the top is just amazing as you get a panoramic view of Sydney.

Ich kann jedem den” Bridge Climbing” nur ans Herzen legen. Auch wenn es Zeit und Geld kostest, ist es das Erlebnis auf alle Fälle wert.
Man hat einen unbeschreiblichen Ausblick und das beeindruckende Gefühl da oben zu stehen und der Wind zaust an deinen Haaren … einfach genial!
Selbst nach Jahren denke ich gerne daran zurück und würde wieder klettern!

Die Harbour Bridge war auch eines der ersten Dinge, die ich mir in Sydney angesehen habe, natürlich verbunden mit einem Rundgang durch «the rocks». Vorher bin ich auf dem Weg durch den Botanischen Garten an der Oper vorbei gekommen und bin danch über den Circular Quay zur Brücke geschlendert. Man kann gar nicht genug von der Ansicht bekommen.
Von dem Walk auf die Brücke hab ich auch Abstand genommen, weil das Wetter nicht so gut war, als ich Zeit dafür hatte. Ich war dann später auf dem Sydney Tower, der auch einen recht guten und günstigeren Überblick über Sydney bietet, plus der Option zu einem Skywalk. Wenn man ganz auf den Skywalk verzichtet, muss es wohl noch gemütlicher im Summit Café zugehen, welches sich über der Stadt immer um 360° dreht.
Zurück zur Brücke: auf jeden Fall lohnt sich eine der vielen Fähren zu nehmen und in welche Richtung auch immer, durch den Hafen zu fahren, um die Brücke von allen Seiten fotografieren zu können.
Ich fand es sehr imposant. Für mich war es das Highlight, die Brücke an Silvester im Feuerwerk zu sehen, was unbeschreiblich toll war.

Man muss die Harbour Bridge einfach gesehen haben! Am Schönsten ist es vom lady macquarie’s chair im Botanischen Garten wenn man einen Blick auf die Oper und die Harbour Bridge hat und vielleicht noch die Sonne untergeht!

Die Harbour Bridge ist so gigantisch und ein Climbing ist der absolute Hammer. Ich war begeistert und würde es unbedingt wieder tun.
Wer mag kann sich dann mit der Opera im Hintergrund ablichten lassen und bei tollem Wetter und Sonnenschein ist das natürlich eine super Erinnerung

Toll anzusehen, aber hochklettern: Nein Danke! Dauert inkl. Sicherheitseinweisung, umziehen usw. viel zu lange, ca. 4 – 5 Stunden und meistens ist man (oder die meisten sind) ja nur 2 – 3 Tage in SYD. Auch der Preis steht meines Erachtens in keinem Verhältnis zur Leistung, welche man ja auch noch selber erbringen muss, in dem man die Brücke hoch läuft.
Alternativ für $ 25, — auf den Skytower (doppelt so hoch) inkl. einer «Reise durch Australien» im 3D Kino und wenns doch die Brücke sein soll, dann der Aufstieg in einem der Pylonen (
) .
Und wer 100 –150 EUR für den Bridgeclimb über hat, bekommt für das gleiche Geld einen Rundflug über Stadt, Hafen, Olympiagelände und entlang der Küste. Eine Stunde inkl. Hotelabholung (!) für rund 150, — EUR!

Es ist das Zusammenwirken von Harbour Bridge, Meer, Opera und Skyline, welches Sydneys Panorama so einzigartig macht. Wenn Ihr Zeit habt und schwindelfrei seid — macht den Bridgewalk. Angeseilt und unter fachlicher Führung gehts an den höchsten Punkt des Kleiderbügels.

Ich habe mal ein Nachtfoto dazu hochgeladen, es war wiklich sehendswer dort bei Nacht spazieren zu gehen.
Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, den Bridgewalk zu machen. Ich habe Bilder gesehen und ägere mich immer noch, dass ich aufgrund des Wetters dort nicht hoch konnte.
