Pocket Bar Terrigal

Epic vibe, the staff are awesome and super friendly, service is great and timely.
The serving size is larger than other tapas in terrigal and is actually of higher quality (kamikaze chicken is epic!!).
Wide selection of tasty drinks also.
Definitely worth a visit!

I took my sister here for her birthday because it’s pretty much the best cocktail bar that Terrigal, nigh the Central Coast has to offer. Knowing they come from a franchise of small bars some of which I’ve been too, I’d hoped this place would be of the same calibre. It does tie into the individualistic indie freedom esque theme of its sister bars and the pricing is typically high but I found this bar didn’t live up to the expectations I’d expected. They did have a range of unique cocktails, all over $ 18 each. My sis had the house signature Pocketmelon martini which was very fruity and barely martini. I asked for the strongest cocktail on the menu and was recommended the Velvet glove because it was apparently «pretty much straight scotch». It downright sucked. The quality of ingredients wasn’t bad it was just the concoction should’ve never have been invented. What a terrible mix. We also ordered food because we hungry man. You have a choice of their house special crepes and small bar food. The menu was small but that’s normal for a small bar. What disappointed more was the quality of the food was very average almost below. We ordered a bit but didn’t finish any of it. I can think of some local pubs that make better quality chow than this place. They had table service which was handy when ordering food and drinks. The staff were friendly to a point where they just wanted to keep taking away our food… although we were spending more than 90% of the other patrons whom were simply buying the cheapest drinks on the menu. Why come to a specialty cocktail bar and not try one of their fancy created cocktails? Tsk tsk. It was busy when we walked in but we managed to snag an entire full lounge area which we had for the remainder of the night haha. Be mindful this is not a dance club which you could see some of the patrons were hoping it were… the music is relaxing and there’s no room to boogie. They have lounges and bar seating and small tables inside and outside, so come here for a relaxed drink. But be prepared to be surrounded by beach proud coasties.
