You’d be mad to enjoy going to the Dentist. Even if it’s just a check up there’s all those weird noises, mini vacuum things, scary objects approaching your mouth while you lie there, incapable of stopping the situation. After I had my wisdom teeth out last year I have been avoiding a check up like the plague. When Sparkle Dental near my house offered a deal for a limited time for a check up, clean and x-ray for free if you have private health insurance, I decided it was time to stop procrastinating. When I enquired about an appointment I was told politely that there was nothing available for at least a month, but wanting to get it out of the way as soon as possible I put my name on the waiting list, and sure enough an appointment freed up for me within a week of enquiring. The staff were lovely and quite gentle. Despite a not-so-subtle attempt to up-sell some teeth whitening to me, it was the most pleasant dental experience I have had to date. It calmed my nerves when I saw that the clinic was immaculately clean. I especially liked the TV above the dentist chair that allowed me to fit in a solid half an hour of Absolutely Fabulous whilst getting my teeth scraped and sucked and pulled around. I would definitely go back to Sparkle Dental and will recommend it to all my friends. Given that there was a special deal on and I didn’t have to pay a gap for the service, I’m not sure how much they would regularly charge, but with the service I received I would be happy to pay a little bit extra.
