Just got the coffee and cake deal and not disappointed. They have a nice lounge area with music and comfortable couches to relax in while having a coffee that separates from the restaurant but which us really nice. Great atmosphere and great service. Got a hot chocolate instead of the coffee and happy they do a salted caramel hot chocolate(it is to die for) plus their mars bar cake is fresh and not dry(though can be a hit and miss here but had way more fresh then dry). After work it’s a great place to dit and relax here and they have a little kids thing near by so the kids can lay outside while we enjoy a coffee.

I didnt have any problems with the service, but the chicken satay skewers were, without the slightest exaggeration, the worst l’ve ever had. Disgusting. Never going there again.

I used to come here quiet a bit but then it became to expensive so i stopped. I thought I’d try it yesterday. It was pretty busy and there where only 2 staff taking orders. We called the staff member over to take out orders. The food was not bad. We had to leave as we where running late for a movie. We waiting at the counter to pay our bill for more than 10 minutes while they where putting cutlery on the table.(We honestly could have walked out. So if you want a free feed go there). When the young man come I said«I was just about to call you» To which he rudely and arrogantly replied«well we obviously have customers to serve and we are busy» oh sorry didn’t know I was not a customer. Rude service if there is any and over over priced food. Never again.

Really disappointing experiences. For dinner the prices are ridiculous and the service appalling. It was my friends birthday and 3 guests didn’t receive their food for 30 minutes after the other guests served… And one of those was a ceasar salad… Who waits 80 minutes on a salad… And then to pay full price after such a bad experience? No. Goodbye switch.

Switch is a contemporary bar and restaurant, one that was desperately needed in the ever expanding outer Western suburbs of Melbourne. Its refreshing to find a modern bar and restaurant in the area that is not aimed at families. Because of this, and the fact that there are no other similar competitors in the area, Switch gets very busy, particulary on the weekend. The food is good, and the drinks are great too! I’d recommend trying the Angus beef burger, or the wok style Paella. The problem that Switch has is in the terrible service. The wait staff are only borderline riendly, if at all, and service is slow slow slow. I cant count the number of times my friends and I have sat at our table, all with empty drinks, and nobody has asked us if we’d like any more. Thats drinking cocktails and wine — so the bar is missing out on atleast another hundred dollars on our bill everytime we visit. Its very frustrating. Im still hoping they’ll get some new staff and up their game.
