History

Established in 1995.

The business was opened in 1995 by Peter and his brother Geoff. They grew up three blocks away in Indooroopilly and always loved the little shops in Hillsdon Road, Geoff has fond memories of coming here as a boy.

In 1996 Geoff took over the Laundry on his own and he called it ‘Indooroopilly Laundromat’. Even though it is technically in Taringa, when we first opened there was already another business called that. We didn’t want to cause confusion and as we are so very close to the boundary of Indooroopilly, it seemed a logical name.

Ever since we have been slowly improving the Laundry, finally finding the best equipment in the world with our Dexter *Express* Frontloaders and Dryers. The fastest, strongest, easiest, best of the best in the Laundry Industry. We enjoy talking to our lovely customers, finding out what they want and need. We love our Laundry, we hope you do too.

Geoff and I have owned and operated Indooroopilly Laundromat since 1996. It’s a family thing.

We are very hands on and are out there twice a day, cleaning and constantly trying to improve the laundry for our customers. Over the years we have tried many brands of machines and finally finding the fabulous, fast and reliable Dexter *Express* brand.

Geoff has had a passion for Laundromats since he was a boy, his father Max Sexton ran the local areas Washing Machine Repair business, that is still run by Geoff’s brother Peter. So laundry and washing machines is in the blood. Geoff and I have spent many years living in the Taringa/​Indooroopilly area and love this wonderful little pocket of the suburb.

Our laundry is a big part of our lives, we love our locals, regulars and new customers. Nothing better than stopping by to clean and ending up chatting with customers.
