Always choose the ***!
I have a theory… a three star café never disappoints. You’re not expecting too much but the food is passable and sometimes even pleasantly surprising. This is one of those places.
I visited here after not going for about 18 mths and nothing has changed. We had a great scrambled eggs on sourdough (but for some reason it wasn’t sourdough). The coffee is smooth and good (though just good is sub par in the shire) and the iced coffee is just as I remember it. Lots of cream and ice-​cream!
If you’re in the area, it truly is a nice experience. Very friendly staff, great with kids and lots of space.

Yeah, it’s slim pickings here at Southgate.
Pros: There’s plenty of room. The staff are friendly. It seems clean and tidy.
Cons: Average coffee. Really standard, boring, suburban café fare. Atmosphere is circa 1995.
I really can’t come up with much for this one, sorry. It’s not great but there isn’t really anywhere else. This entire shopping centre is like the mall that time forgot. This place included.

Serviceable food but really only if you are there. Otherwise, drive on by.
