Definitely a classy joint serving cocktails and top shelf whiskey. Was here for a work function and waitresses and bartenders were top notch as they made the night very enjoyable with their great service and personality. Great views and really cool crowd, definitely would come back again.

Spacious waterfront club with a decent dancefloor. Great DJ on a Friday evening, spinning top hits as well as eclectic mixes. Pretty harbour views, snag one of the tables or couches overlooking the water. Bartenders are friendly, unpretentious. Fun crowd there to dance.

I can think of only one very important thing you need to know about The Loft. They serve cocktails by the jug. Really, what more do you want?

Away from the hustle and bustle of a Saturday night, the Loft offers the ladies something a little special on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon — High Tea… I’m so glad such a stunning venue uses it for more than drunken nights as you can really appreciate the décor — which is beautiful by the way, gold awnings and chandeliers… tres chic… So here’s the high tea deal… it costs between $ 40 — $ 50 the main price difference is if you get a cocktail — I suggest you go the cocktail because they’re super yum! It’s not vegeterian friendly — as all their sandwiches have fish or meat — so make sure you call ahead if that doesn’t suit… they also have other goodies on the tier including quiche, cakes, brownies and scones… The cocktail are tea inspired and actually mixed with T2 teas, which I thought was a fun twist… I had a «Breakfast at Tifanny’s which had a peach, apple and passionfruit flavour… infused with green rose tea and vodka» It was a fun afternoon to bond with the girls and something different to do on a weekend… I did love it — not as much as Victoria Rooms — but it was still pretty awesome.

The heart of life is in the simple things. In this case, carpet inside a bar. And I don’t mean drink-stained, downtrodden office-type carpet. I am talking about plush pile carpet, the kind like little clouds under your feet, that makes you bounce when you walk. As you might expect, The Loft is a reasonably dressy bar. And by that, I mean that security will give you the once over and as long as you don’t look totally terrible and are reasonably cool about things(be cool, man, be cool!) then you shouldn’t have any problems. Girls get what dressy means but for the gentlemen, this means nice leather shoes and a collared shirt. If you can get a sport coat or a blazer into the mix, you’ll be golden. And obviously, if you’re showing up after 10ish, don’t be a group of just guys, son. It won’t get you too far. The drinks are a little expensive and if you decide to order something niche, as I did, expect to pay more. An Old Fashioned(scotch) returned very little change from a $ 20 but I did get a 10 minute show as it was elaborately made. Being on the harbour, the noise level can be a little loud — one night, a docked boat had some kind of air conditioning system running which proved difficult to speak over, but these are the exceptions.
