We came on a Saturday night with a very big group and used a Groupon voucher which entitled us to one hour of karaōke for 10 people with a free cocktail and unlimited food. We had more than 10 people and the rest had to pay $ 15 each to be included in the deal. We also received 20% off room hire for succeeding hours because of the voucher. For the free cocktail, we got either an Alize or Midori drink in a small glass. The food we got were chips, wedges and fried dumplings. The food was meant to be replenished within the first hour each time we run out, but as we had dinner prior to coming to karaōke, most of us were full and the food mostly remained untouched during that first hour. The room had modern interiors and was massive. There was a large lounge and an equally large table, and there was a bar and stools behind the lounge. There was a small open wardrobe in the corner where we could hang our coats and jackets and place our handbags. We had 21 people in our group and we didn’t feel cramped at all and there was still plenty of space to move around in the room. Our room was right beside the counter and bar outside, so ordering additional food and drinks was really convenient. They only have three kinds of beer available and they were canned: VB, Tooheys New and OB. There was a good selection of cocktails but someone in our group commented that they didn’t appear to be too strong, as she had plenty of drinks and did not even feel tipsy yet. They have a great collection of songs, old and new. There’s also a small book with a list of Asian songs, and I was happy that most of the Filipino karaōke classics were available. We had two microphones and two remotes(though one of the remotes was in Korean). Not a big deal breaker, but it would have been better if they had at least five microphones considering the room was suited to a maximum of 25 people. The room lights would automatically dim and turn into disco lights each time a song was on and it definitely added this happy party vibe, but it made going through the song books a bit difficult. Again, not a big deal breaker as you could use the lights on your phone anyway. We paid extra for an extension of three hours at $ 40 each hour, but they gave us two 30 minute blocks for free which made our total time spent to be five hours. $ 40 divided amongst our large group turned out to be so cheap, around $ 2 per hour each person. The beers were priced at $ 5, and the cocktails range from $ 13-$ 15. Everyone in our group had a go at singing and had an absolute blast without needing to spend an excessive amount like you would have if you had gone to a bar or a club. Before we left, the lady at the reception counter gave us a handful of $ 15 an hour vouchers which I know will all be put to good use soon enough.
