I’m not a chicken… I’ll try most foods once, so when it comes to Schnitz Ill eat all the kinds: beef/chicken/pork or «other varieties» whatever that may be. Schnitty, i’m not sure how you became an Aussie menu classic but i’m so glad you exist. To elevate your existence, «Schnitz», nestled into a World Square food court lane, caters to your seemingly versatility. Schnitzel is available in wraps, salads, buns, by its self, as chicken or beef with sauces, in parmigiana form, diced, whole or basically any form you want it! There is more than a dozen options of bun or wrap with catchy names like Thai the Knot, or American Dream. I went with basic chicken schnitzel and a side salad. Lovely crunchy outside, fried to perfection and moist interior. The only«beef» I have is the price, for essentially a fast food chain — $ 11.50 for just a wrap or bun is a little steep. But if you want to stop somewhere for lunch with your work peeps that has a good atmosphere give it a go.

Thought I’d try this place out as per recommendation from a friend. The shop looks nice enough looking and very clean. It gives you a subway kinda feel with all the salads on show at the front for them to make your food. So pretty much you just go up to the register and order what you want they will give you a number, you sit at the table and you wait for them to bring it out. And you may be waiting a while for your food. Considering there was no one In front of us, we waited about 5 – 10 minutes for out food to come out. Which we passed the time talking anyway. But the food it’s quite nice and decent sized too. I had gotten a wrap meal and that was big. And was quite nice too. But I have to say the chips. Don’t know what’s on them but they are amazing!!! Get an side of aioli to dip your chips in yum! I’d come back again here, but I wouldn’t if they were busy. You’d be waiting a while until you get you food if that was the case! So great food just need to speed it up a bit!

I had the OMG chicken schnitzel on a roll. Its well done and the spicy crumb gives it a lot of flavour. It lacks a bit of seasoning on the bun. The biggest gripe is the wait + 14AUD for fast food is rather steep(that is without any drink or fries, which would bring the bill to 20AUD). There are plenty of good(and healthier) options in the MLC center, so while Schnitz is fine, I’d probably go for something else in the future.

Conceptually I hope this place survives as I think a freshly made schnitzel house has value. My biggest gripe with this place is the slow service and the pathetic lack of skill in the kitchen(fry station). How can you not consistently fry a schnitzel without either burning it or not brown it enough given you are a Schnitzel house ?! I have been here twice to grab take away and it was no where busy yet I it has taken at least 15 minutes to get a schnitzel in a roll and a schnitzel with chips? The staff is young and I failed to see a manager figure here to get them to pick up their game?
