This place saved me. Past 7pm in CBD Sydney is pretty much dead. There maybe good number of bars and posh restaurant available but quick ‘n cheap shops are all closed by 5pm. But not this place. It was glowing like I just found a promise land. Their bahn mi was delicious and satisfying portion. Next day, I came back here for lunch and had chicken salad and it was another hit as well. For out of towner like myself, this place was a savior during my stay in Sydney! Thank you!

Fresh and healthy lunch option for the city worker! Phos lack a bit of depth but it’s nothing to whine about. Fresh rice paper rolls get special treatment here with flavours like barramundi, bbq chicken, mushroom, and low-carb options too. You can also get a cup or a full bowl of soup, depending on your hunger levels.

The service was pleasant and quick. The food was awful, I had the BBQ chicken bento and I found the chicken to be fairly flavorless and very fatty. The tea was wayyyyyyy to sweet. The rice was mooshier than sushi rice. I ate the vegetables and rice. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they had an off day?

I come here for the goi(salad) as there aren’t too many places in this part of town that sell the true authentic Viet goi with the fish sauce dressing. The spring rolls(both the traditional pork ones and the seafood ones) are also super crispy and delicious. Looking forward to trying the phở!

The sight of the genuine Huy Fong Sriracha bottles got my attention, but it was the promise of crackling on my Banh Mi that got me through the door of Roll’d. I had been warned the sandwiches were small here, so I grabbed a rice paper roll(soft shell crab + avo) as well. That probably wasn’t necessary — I thought my Banh Mi was a nice size. I found the chili quite mild, but that allowed me to squirt on a nice layer of Sriracha. The crackling added a nice crunch, and I was happy with my Banh Mi, but at $ 9.50 I’m more likely to walk a block to Hunter Connection and grab one for a fiver next time the craving hits. The rice paper roll was a bit of a disappointment — and for $ 3.90, that’s one I won’t be going back for.
