Spent a day walking around the city looking for boots. After hours we walked in here. Laid back service and relaxed staff. The lady that helped me did a great job of measuring my feet and helped me find my way to the most comfortable shoes I have tried. Highly recommended. Added 2 weeks on. These shoes are really comfortable.

My first pair of RMs came from Logan & Swan Stock and Station Agents in Tumut in about 1980. They cost $ 80, but in ‘town’(Sydney) they were already about $ 150. I still have them and they are still fine except the elastic gusset has worn out a bit, which to me makes them even more comfortable. Those boots are 35 years old and still great. The exact pair is still for sale today. No changes at all. I just dropped off my second pair, Black Craftsmans bought here about seven years ago, to get a re-sole and heel, $ 110 !! I saw my old boots now cost $ 440.00. If I wanted a pair of crocodile boots(and I do!) I would have to find $ 2,500.00. I dont think I’ll ever own a pair of crocodile RMs and I dont think the old man would have approved. And … most importantly, they absolutely MUST think of a new word for the elastic bit. The word ‘Gusset’ has no place in a Bush Outfitter.

I admit the boots are not cheap. There are also likely to be a few tourists in the store. However, if you take into account the time these boots can last, so long as they are looked after, the price you pay is worth it. I have only ever owned two pairs of RM Williams boots, and they have both been awesome. Both of them were bought in this store and I can not fault the experience either time. The only other thing I can suggest is to keep an eye out for the sales. It makes a massive difference and they seem to pop up every now and then.
