In the past I would walk straight past thinking $ 10 for a bottle of juice was extortionate. But i was feeling like a cleanse given I’ve been pigging out this Winter and decided to give it a go. They do meal replacement juices and smoothies, regular juices and smoothies(less thick), salads with dressings in their own cute little matching re-usable glass jars with giant cork lid with a rope string tied around the neck and a recycled paper tag with the name of the product and ingredients — talk about perfect presentation! There’s also chia breakfast pots, and yogurt and muesli, in similar glass jars. The lady serving me was very nice and knowledgeable. She let me try any juice or smoothie before I made my mind up. I went from thinking Pressed Juices was way overpriced to walking out with a smoothie, a juice and a salad!

I walked past a couple of times before finally deciding to join this cold pressed juice craze everyone seems to be talking about. I admit I had to Google what cold pressed even meant… and also why it was better. If you’re into your pseudo-health and nutrition head down to one of these places, otherwise at nine to ten bucks a pop, if you just want your fruity-sugar fix, give it a miss. The staff are helpful and more than happy to let you taste a bunch of juices! The flavours are amazing as well, but in the end. a juice is just a juice. If you want the nutrients of fruit you’re better off eating the actual fruit and getting all the fibre as well instead of just the juice. /rant(sorry) It’s still tasty and I’ll probably go back and try a different flavour sometime — just not when I’m wearing white, or silk, or dry clean only items of clothing. They don’t wipe the bottles down and I ended up having to fork over a dry cleaning bill on top of the price of the juice when it smeared all down my sleeve.

I’m kinda surprised no one’s reviewed this yet, given how popular they are! Cold pressed juice might be considered the new«craze», but it is insanely good for you. These guys take it very seriously, and offer a few options to ‘fast’ for a few days on juice. I’ve done it a couple times, and it definitely gives your health & wellbeing a bit of a revving. You can buy the juices individually as well for $ 9 – 10 depending on what you’re after. It sounds pricy, and it is, but the juices are out of this world! I would recommend to anyone who is interested in being a bit healthier, or for anyone who is looking for something a bit different to your usual non-pressed juices(these guys come up with some of the best combinations)! The shops themselves are well designed and managed, and their staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
