So lucked into this place while hunting for a post-yoga coffee. Glad we did — this hole in the wall is surprisingly broad in it’s range, from cakes to Phở — seriously. And great pies and quiche… made to order sangers and a range of sweet-toothe achingly good pastries and cakes. Coffee was also very good — Toby’s Estate. Will be back…

Pottery Green is a bit of a weekend lunch favourite for us due mainly to their generous and tasty salads, which include chicken, beef or salmon. The baked items are great and service is fast. They only take cash but there are ATMs across the road.

I hav been to this café /bakery twice now. The first time I had the beef phở($ 14!!!). It was ok but probably not as good as any of the phở options in the cbd where you’d typically pay under $ 10. Today I ordered a pork banh mi. They gave me beef roll instead. The wait staff were incredibly rude. I definately won’t be back.

My son and I were looking for a Sat morning feed in Lane Cove and couldn’t go past Pottery Green. Amazing Vietnamese baguettes and flaky sausage rolls. Loved the coffee(Toby’s Estate) and apparently the chocolate milkshakes are ‘the best I’ve ever had’. Would definitely go back to try one of the pastries.

Great Viet-Aus bakery with both pastries and traditional Viet goodies: rice paper rolls and Banh Mi, etc. Had the Banh Mi, bursting with goodies including fresh kick ass chilli and pâté(if you want it) for $ 8. I say great value. Open pie(AKA quiche) also good.

It seems irresponsible to review a bakery slash café when you’ve only just ordered coffee from them. But, here I type, telling you of the rustic-looking café that caught my eye on Anzac Day morning when, my boyfriend’s brother and I were in the area searching for eggs and milk. These guys could help us out in the milk department but the eggs not so much. That’s okay, they’re pouring Toby’s estate and we took advantage by ordering a round of coffees. I’d suggest ordering a black coffee to make the most of the blend — the milk in the flat white hid too much of the coffee. These were takeaway and the service was efficient. The cake and pastry cabinet was stocked and looked terribly tempting plus I’m keen to try their Vietnamese baguettes. Next time!

Who would’ve thought you could find a fusion Vietnamese French bakery in the heart of lane cove. We ordered the Vietnamese pork baguette and the lemongrass chicken baguette. Both were so delicious and quite large(think subway foot long length) and left us completely stuffed. If there is one good thing to come out of the French occupation of Vietnam it’s the food. Fresh french baguette filled with Vietnamese flavours. It couldn’t get any better. Nom nom nom nom nom…

This bakery has a lot of potential, they sell fresh bread(which I am yet to try), cakes & pastries, and baguettes. The baguettes have a Vietnamese flair with fillings of Vietnamese pork, lemongrass chicken or tofu and come jam-packed with salad, fresh chilli if you so desire and a soy and coriander dressing. I opted for the tofu filling and the combination of the pickled carrots and soy & coriander dressing resulted in one tasty mofo of a baguette. I also couldn’t help myself and ordered a lemon meringue tart, which was absolutely divine. The meringue was crunchy on the outside and nice and pillowy on the inside and the pastry had just the right amount of crumble.
