This is probably the first time that I have stayed in one of these apartment hotels(not counting the one on the Gold Coast) and I must say that there are some good and bad points. The good point is that they are quite well decked out, that is as an apartment as opposed to a simple hotel room. The one I stayed in had cutlery, crockery, and a washing machine(as well as a television, but don’t all hotel rooms have television, not that I actually watch it). They are also incredibly secure. However there is a downside to it, and that is that they are quite expensive. There are also a number of rules as well, such as having to sign in all guests that you take to the apartment(and I suspect that goes for owner/occupiers as well). They are also all strictly non-smoking(not surprising) though it appeared that that included the balcony as well(why have a balcony if you can’t smoke on it?).

Moderate serviced apartment in south end of Sydney 5 minutes walk from Central Station and close to Thai restaurant eating hub as well as Chinatown, Marketcity & Paddy’s Markets. Large 1 bedroom apartment with huge kingside bed, spacious living space with an extra single bed, complete kitchen facilities and laundry in bathroom. Overall a clean apartment that fulfils living requirements. Aesthetic wise there is no wow factor but its more than satisfactory with standard modern-ish furniture. It is however a little tired with the sofa and breather chairs stained and worn but no biggie, ill live. Goulburn st parking lot across the rd which is on the cheap side for Sydney rates, after 5 $ 10 with an exit by 6am or st parking fee after 10pm. There’s also a City Convenience store downstairs for all your late night needs at a premium price of course!
