Coffee is smooth but lacking flavour if you don’t get an extra shot or half full coffee. Better options around the block but certainly not the worst coffee I’ve had

The area in and around Town Hall seems to be devoid of good coffee. Which isn’t to say there aren’t plenty of cafes and coffee shops. There is an absolute plethora of them. There are two almost directly opposite work, and one of these, Greenheart, I wandered into this morning still half asleep wondering if my luck was going to improve. No four leaf clover, no leprechauns, no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and no 5-star large soy latte! Where is the good coffee in this area? Upon entering I was greeted enthusiastically with a *maaaaaaaaaaaaaate what can I get ya?*, which suited me to a T. I love that casual communication in the morning. The space itself is also deceptively big because the back wall is entirely mirrored so it looks like a rather long shop with two entrances, two exits and two gorgeous bald men walking into(and out of) simultaneously. Shucks! The place wasn’t empty. One table was full of punters, though there may have looked like a lot because they were against the mirror, and there was a young lady seated to my left sipping her coffee whilst she flipped nonchalantly through a gossip mag. The actual décor, is really quite different, bench seats with these weird circular disks as individual tables, sprouting from the chairs like the old school desks we used to have back in the day *shudder* If you didn’t get the name, it is Greenheart, and that’s the colour scheme too, kind of a minty green. The cups have the word«Green» written in calligraphy inside a heart. Anyhoo. The coffee seriously was barely a 2.5 star job. It lacked depth of flavour, I could really taste the soy and it seemed bitter. I don’t know what is going on but the first place that can sell me a large coffee, which isn’t 50 bazillion miles away and which tastes top notch is going to win my business for the forseeable future. In between I think all I can do is keep trying, there is plenty of options, I won’t run out of alternatives anytime soon.
