Best coffee in the redfern station area. Open early, every bloody day of the year! They even have cold drip coffee for you freaky people. Fast service that’s friendly. They did make a mistake on my bacon egg roll order but I can forgive that in light of everything else.

Lovely, friendly staff – a pleasure to interact with. Very reasonable prices and an amazing iced coffee! Thanks for your wonderful service and smiles!

The cold drip coffee will be the saviour of my summer. One of the few places in Redfern that does a cold drip, it’s infused with orange, served over ice, and infinitely drinkable. Also, Chapter Five is one of the few places in Redfern where there’s no eftpos minimum, the service is friendly and quick, and it’s so close to the station. A low key neighbourhood gem.

The best thing about this place is the workers here! We came one time at 6am on the way to the airport, and it was great to be warmed up by a smile and an extremely friendly chat. I think that after that, no matter what was going to happen, I am certain that the coffee and the food would be fantastic.
I am not going to lie, the coffee here is not the best you’ll have. But it is one of the better coffee places on that side of the station. Not as good as Three Williams, but still good. So if you are looking for a quick coffee on the way to USyd or on that side of the station, this is a great place to stop.
They do limited food, sandwiches and the such — but all are good and tasty. They change the menu, so not always the same every time you come here. Also, this place has very limited seating, meaning that this is more of a take-​away place, than a sit down café.

This place is great. Tasty and fresh food served with a smile. The coffee is excellent.
There is seating in and out and a busy takeaway counter. Meals are well priced.

Great quality and reasonably priced coffee. Excellent location near Redfern station and Sydney University. Love chatting to the baristas. A great overall café experience.

I discovered this little gem, set in a hole in the wall just next to Redfern Station, on my way to work at Carriageworks for Sydney Festival. It was the only coffee shop around that was open and so I thought, why not take a punt and get a commute coffee before work. I was not disappointed. The coffee was smooth and delicious, perfectly balanced milk and coffee ratio!
The next day I was early for work so I decided to stop and try their breakfast, a simple bacon and egg roll. All their food is homemade and prepared in the tiny kitchen inside the garage of the shop. The menu is simple breakfast/​brunch food, including granola and yoghurt, avocado on toast and banana bread. The four tables make the inside cozy and it’s very hot in the Sydney summer heat, but so worth it for the delicious food and the amazing coffee and the wonderful people who run the café. They’re nice and will stop to chat to you but not in a way that’s too overbearing (especially since the café is so small!)
Every day I’ve been stopping past this week to grab a coffee and sometimes a scroll. Their cinnamon scrolls are amazing and the other day there was a new flavour, banana and Nutella. It was an explosion of delicious but not for the faint hearted. Very rich but so worth it.
I’m going to miss stopping by here every day on my way to work but I definitely think I’ll make the effort to come out to Redfern and get a coffee again!

Was working Sydney Fashion week and went to get breakfast. They have a great little menu. The café is petit and in a garage but very cosy, nice people and seating. It’s a hole in the wall with a stay option. Nice home made food and great simple coffee. Both blend and single origin.

This is serious coffee! It’s consistently smooth and delicious. And the staff are friendly too; winning!
