Purely based on my visit this morning, Caffe Cherry Beans was pleasant and I will definitely come back again for their breakfast menu. Too often cafés are now opting to serve precooked microwaved pancakes and then drown them in syrup and other condiments. Here, you can see them pour the batter in their open short order kitchen. My meal was served quickly with my dark hot chocolate following very shortly after. Aahh bless, light, fluffy fresh buttermilk pancakes. The dark hot chocolate was a little on the…“watery” side but that might be because I had it on soy but nonetheless still enjoyable. I am yet to come back and try their coffee. Service was friendly and the place itself although small, has good ambience. menu prices are reasonable which also makes me want to come back for breakfast, it’s honest and simple.

Yet another café around the World Square precinct. This is a chain that has rapidly expanded in the past few years. The location is prime, on the corner of Pitt & Liverpool Street. The interior is quite spacious with a mix of small tables and large group tables. I personally find the coffee a little weak but at $ 4 for a large, it’s quite reasonable. This place will face stiff competition from Macchiato, Café Tiamo and Coffee Pitt let alone places inside World Square.
