It’s a dangerous thing when Adora is right next to my work, I love going there for their dark hot chocolate. It is nice and dark and I love the fact that you get a piece of chocolate with it. I always have to get the Dark Chocolate Dinosaur because I get the hot chocolate drink and my kids get the piece of chocolate, fair trade I suppose. The only thing annoying is that this place has a $ 15 minimum for card/eftpos. I hate carrying coins and money, so I sometimes overspend just to get 1 hot chocolate. Hopefully they will change their system soon. They now have a bowl when you order a hot chocolate and you can pick from the bowl, but don’t be fooled you can still pick your own chocolate with any hot drink order.

This place is pretty good. They make delicious chocolate and you also get a free truffle with every coffee. sweet! The selection of truffles is good by Australian standards(about 10 flavours to choose from), but in all honesty there are some staples missing in that lot. The selection of cakes/alternative to chocolate treats is small — 4 alternatives, plus my favourite a giant white or milk chocolate lollipop with standardized messages such as «happy birthday», «i love you» and«sorry» to fit most occasions. The staff tend to be a tad pretentious — but that’s probably to be expected at a place like this. And as you would expect this place is a little on the more expensive side of things — an individual truffle is $ 1.50 and a coffee is around the $ 4.50 mark(but hey, you get the a free truffle with that so maybe it isn’t bad). If you work near by this place it’s pretty disastrous for you — or at least your weight –because you’re bound to become addicted.

Feeling blue? Sent the wrong picture message? Forget about those six cases of Tooheys New, chances are they won’t be enough to forgive you. Adora chocolates is located just through the side doors of the foyer in the beautiful Sydney Wentworth Sofitel building. Hand-made with an assortment of bitter to sweet chocolates — ganache, caramel, praline, macadamia — the choice is entirely up to you. A selection of 12 of these delectable morsels will set you back a whopping $ 15, but they are definitely worth it. My boyfriend bought me these for Easter and no joke, the argument I had been mentally preparing died in my throat. He was a smartie and bought two of each kind, so neither of us would miss out(remember this one for next time). It also comes with a little chocolate guide that detail many of the chocolates they have available, so that you can even have your own mini treasure hunt. Buy a box for whatever it is you’re trying to redeem yourself for — should you aim to be forgiven, these chocolates will help her forget.
