If I could give a negative star I would! The worst accountant I have ever used in 25 years of Business

Horrible, horrible experience!!! I thought your account was supposed to be on your side?
Firstly, ‘In The Picture’ were near impossible to get a hold of. After several attempts I finally got through and someone was finally working on my return. Upon completion they said I would owe money to the ATO and they sent me their bill. No phone call to discuss why I would be paying and advising me in any way. This seemed a little strange to me. So I went to another accountant. For half the price had the same thing done and they actually said I would be getting a return. Getting money back?! Go figure!
I got back to ‘In The Picture’ and said I’ve decided to go elsewhere with my return and therefore did not sign off on anything. A few months later they send me to collections. Yes that’s right the debt collectors for their very generous fee of $ 363.
So I pay it and thank them for their unprofessional business.
Please steer clear!

These people are the most incompetent and unprofessional bunch of morons i have ever overpaid for. They can’t fill in forms, they don’t know the tax system, they change their ‘advice’, they lower their fees when challenged, they take far too long over the most basic tasks which you need to follow up to get from them and they won’t admit or pay up for their mistakes. If there was less than one star I’d give them that.

This is a taxation accountants office in Surry Hills. What’s so special about this place is that they focus on helping artists to run their business and make the most out of the taxation system. I was lucky enough to have a consult with Saul who seems to be one of the managers. He was very understanding of my situation, it was my first visit to an accountants. And they opened up a new world for me about keeping receipts and claiming back on my phone and internet bills. They might even be able to get me back some of the extra tax I paid last year. Saul was very straight down the point, he didn’t make me feel stupid or less worthy than him, although my finances are a bit on the disorganised side. The receptionist expected more than words from me, I’m not sure what else I could have done for her, but it was like she wanted me to act or do a monologue or something. I think they must get quite a few big names come through there, she probably cops a lot of ego. But they have complimentary lollies whilst you wait for your appointment, the great thing about using an accountant is they can apply for an extension on handing in your tax.
