You must try skinny fries it is delicious and crispy from out side, my kids love it to much. And also Fuhgeddaboudit it is hot and tasty but it is hard to eat .The staff are friendly. And it is good for family. Prices are good. We had a lovely night there.

Cheery, friendly staff. It was very busy when we arrived but we were taken care of right away. The food is as they describe, American street food. My girlfriend and I were not in a burger mood, but we can attest that the burgers are huge and would easily feed two people for a shared lunch. I had the mac and cheese, which is the reason that I wanted to go, because it sounded devine. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly salty with the bacon topping. She had the chicken tenders and found them to be very good. The spicy ranch dipping sauce exemplified the flavor of these crumbed gems. We shared an order of twice fried(battered) onion rings and we both thought they were decent. They definitely reminded me of home. The pricing of soda was my only negative as it was $ 4 for less than a can of a single bought soda. It turned me off wanting to buy an alcoholic drink in fear of getting a small drink for a large price. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for it’s food and service.

Get in early as this place gets busy pretty quick… for a good reason. We walked in and the guy gave us the option of letting us choose our own seats, to which we said nearest to the aircon, and he placed us right beneath one! It was the best thing at the time. The two waiters that served us even introduced themselves by name and made us feel extremely welcome. It was such incredible hospitality that you wouldn’t expect normally. The Depot is situated on Beach Road which is slightly off the main drag of Surfers Paradise. Beach Road is a flurry of new up-and-coming ‘hipster’ looking eateries — which is usually always a good sign of quality. They’ve also obviously put a lot of thought into their interior and décor which is always a plus. The food was incredible. We got quite a bit of food — the burgers were good and meaty. The ribs fell straight off the bones. The chips were good and the chicken tenders were… tender! Everything was just absolutely tasty and delightful. The shakes were also outstanding. A must visit!

Yummy food. Good size burgers and delicious salads. Chip serves could have been bigger. Service was good. Cool atmosphere and trendy environment.

The service was super friendly and helpful. Fit out of the restaurant is very cool. The Depot Burger(minus pineapple) rated a solid 8 and would have scored higher if they swapped the special sauce for their cheese sauce and ditched the salad. The Outta Towner was unique although it looses that«burger» taste, my wife still lived it. The special sauce is really just 1000 islands which is about the only letdown. 2 hour free parking in the Bruce Bishop via validation is a bonus in Surfers

I have been away from home so long I wasn’t even aware Brooklyn Depot existed until a friend suggested we try it for dinner last week. Both of us are fans of American style food and were exceedingly happy with everything Brooklyn Depot had to offer. For our appetiser we grabbed the Skinny Fries with Cheese & Gravy(Poutine Style) and the serving was huge and the gravy tasted like it was properly homemade, not from a packet! For our Mains I ordered the Brooklyn Classic Burger and my friend got the G.I. Jose Hot Dog, again– both were a huge portion size and were delicious. My burger was juicy, cooked to perfection and the sauce they used blended with all the ingredients beautifully! I was absolutely stuffed afterwards! Definitely will be coming back here on a more regular basis.

I really enjoyed this place! ‘American style restaurant’ with amazing comfort food! I had the sweet potato burger which was delicious! A nice change from the usual soy/black bean veggie burgers. I’ve also tried the Mac and cheese here and it’s equally as good :) They definitely should have table service, but other than that it’s a nice, casual restaurant with great food!

Brooklyn Depot has some amazing food. Recommend Depot Burger + Garbage Fries. Combining a trendy and interesting look with big burgers and a bar, this place is great for groups or to grab some take away. Free WiFi and free parking in Bruce Bishop carpark next door only makes it better. Advice: If you get there at peak times, be prepared to wait for a bit at the bar as seats are taken very quickly.

Went to Brooklyn Depot today for the first time, at first glance it looks really lovely; Great atmosphere and location. The waitress who seated us and took our orders wasn’t very friendly and acted as though she didn’t want to be there. Between our table we ordered/shared the«Brooklyn Classic» which I had. It came with«special sauce» on it which was slathered all over the burger which I didn’t like so the whole burger was ruined for me. Had about 5 bites and was turned off. Also ordered the«Depot burger» which was greatly enjoyed, though keep in mind it is quiet a large burger. He enjoyed it because there wasn’t any special sauce on it and swapped for BBQ sauce. The«Chicken tenders» were quite nice but over cooked. «Mac and cheese» was rather nice I enjoyed it but very rich! Absolutely loved the«Cheese and gravy fries»! *recommend* The food came out very quick which was a bonus. So over all an okay experience here.

The food was great and really well presented. The only issues were having to line up and pay for your food at the start. Being an American style restaurant they need to have table service. If I wanted a drink I would have to jump in line again to pay for the drink which isn’t something you’d expect to do at a restaurant a bar yeah but not a restaurant. Other than that it’s in a really good spot for afternoon sun and has a nice layout. Waitress are all pretty friendly and willing to help. I had a good time, they just need to have table service.

After staying in surfers for a work conference and craving some tasty and yummy food — I was excited to find this newly opened Americana Burger Joint! Being a Sydney sider I was a bit disappointed with the lack of quality cafes and restaurants available on the main«strip» of Surfers. This place was packed! We had to stand in an awkward unofficial waiting area. First having to find the waiter who was taking names to put you on a list to be seated. This was pretty hard Due to the fact the waiter was in casual clothing — had an unfriendly too cool for school hipster attitude. And also was not at all helpful with explaining the whole process of where to stand and wait to be seated — and how to order etc. When you finally are seated you will then need to take note of your table number — then get up and walk to the front of the store to stand in another line and place and pay for your order! This is pretty crap because if you decide you wanted to order another dish or even drink — you have to line up again and pay again. This was really annoying as you’re paying high prices for your food and don’t get table service! Even ordering a glass of wine is an effort! The overall customer service was pretty crap. Not very friendly. Everyone looked busy and frazzled and the staff seemed that they didn’t have the time to be polite or friendly. The only positive thing to the restaurant was that the food was Delish! I ordered the Fugazi veggie burger and fell in love! The corn on the cob was very basic and I would not recommend it. Overall I’d give this place a 5⁄10 for the whole overall experience.

I’ve been here twice, once for take out and once dining. I had the Fugazy burger which is a chickpea and sweet potato patty. While I’m not a vegetarian, as you’ll see if you keep reading this review, I enjoy vegetarian dishes and felt this was a breath of fresh air compared to most vegetarian burgers are either mushroom or veggie. My partner got the Depot Burger which had so much on it he couldn’t even finish. The next time we went with another couple, and I had the Coney Island hot dog. For whatever reason cheese sauce is hard to come by in Australia, so having this chili and cheese dog was great. The Brooklyn Depot definitely lived up to its«American street food» motto. On a side note, I ordered my French fries with a side of ranch, and the American server asked me where I was from. When I replied that I’m from Michigan, she said only people from the States order ranch with their fries, and we commiserated about our shared love of ranch. Haha. She also didn’t charge me for the ranch. Love this place. The only somewhat negative thing I’ll say is they don’t take reservations, and we had to wait almost a half an hour to get seated. But the food is worth the wait. Wish they had more beers on tap but considering they just opened, hopefully maybe in the future that will change.
